Elements of the San Francisco-based Federal Paranormal Task Force fought heavily armed VIPER terrorists late Friday evening in San Francisco's downtown Mission district. While the villains had attempted to heist goods from the Mission branch of Wells Fargo,Task Force representatives have stated that the battle ended inconclusively with several of the terrorists taken into federal police custody. While present during the heavily pitched and destructive battle, the villain later identified as Brick, was not taken into custody and remains at large.
This appearance of VIPER comes as a surprise as they have not been actively seen in San Francisco in well over 6 years. The terrorist cell is known primarily as a paramilitary force with several clandestine and mysterious goals although their history dates back as far as World War II Germany.
Federal Task Force members were not immediately available for comment regarding the encounter although a statement from the Task Force Commander, Big Blue is expected soon.
