Goodnight, My Love
WARNING~ Very sad story.
Marty sat in his chair and turned on the radio. He listened to the song that he used to dance to with Hester. Marty thought back to their wedding. She was so beautiful. A tear fell from his eye just thinking about one last conversation he wanted to have with her. Marty closed his eyes.
"Marty, Darling," Hester smiled at him. She looked so calm and sweet. "Marty, wake up."
"Hester," he started to say, but he couldn't make his mouth for words. There was so much pain. "Help me."
"Lets dance, Marty. We can dance together once again. Don't worry aboout the pain. It won't last long. I promise." She took his hand and pulled him up from the chair. "Tell me about our boys."
"Niles and Daphne got married a few years ago. They have a son, Marty." The more he talked and the more he danced, the less pain he could feel. "Frasier is dating a lovely woman. I don't think its too serios yet, but I think it will be soon."
"What about the pain?" Hester asked.
"Its going away now." Marty looked around him. The apartment was fading away.
"You can come home."
"Can Eddie come?"
"In time, Eddie, Frasie and Niles will all come."
"Bur Frasier has a life ahead of him. Niles has a family. Eddie has me. Please let Eddie come."
"Eddie will be taken care of. Lets go home now, Darling." Marty pat Eddie on the head as he slept on the couch.
"Good-bye pal."

"Dad, I'm home!" Frasier called into the dark apartment. He turned on a light and saw Marty in his chair. Frasier saw the toppled beer can on the table beside him. "Oh, Dad." Frasier began to cry. He picked up the phone and dialed Niles's number.
"Hello?" Daphne muttered into the phone. "Daphne, I need to talk to Niles."
"Frasier? Whats wrong?" Daphne asked.
"Dad died." Daphne began to cry."Talk to Niles, I have to go." Frasier sobbed. Daphne hung up the phone.
"Daphne, whats wrong?" Niles asked.
"Your father just passed." Niles and Daphne held eachother and cried.

"Frasier, can you hear me? Please talk to me." Cynthia said to Frasier who was staring off into space.
"Cynthia, I'm sorry. I'd really like to be alone."Cynthia, instead curled up to Frasier and let him cry on her shoulder.
"I'm here for you honey."

"Are you sure they'll be all right with out me?"
"It was your time, Marty. Lets dance."
The two danced to a sad song and waited for their boys to join them.
