Tom Paris held his wife's hand and begged the gods to let her and their
unborn daughter be alright. It had been three weeks since B'Elanna had been
foun unconcious in a Jeffry's tube, and still hadn't come out of the
mysterious coma. The Doctor was preparing to deliver the baby by C-section,
as the baby was already overdue by almost a month.

"Tom, why don't you relax. I'll get you a cup of coffee."

"Thanks Captain." Tom had no expression on his face, nor had he a tone in
his voice. Kathryn felt her heart ache for him, and she patted his shoulder
sympathetically.

"Tom, I've been off-duty every time I've come in here to sit with you, so
call me Kathryn, even Kat. But I'm here as a freind, not a Captain." Tom
flashed an empty smile.

"Okay, we're going to start the opperation, so everyone out. Seven will
bring the baby out when she's cleaned up," The Doctor said as he shooed the
two out.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tom looked at his daughter lovingly. The baby was so tiny in his arms,
but had very distinct ridges on her forhead. 'Just like her mother,' he
thought to himself.
"She's beautiful, Tom. What are you going to name her?"
"I haven't thought of anything. B'Elanna and I were going to name her
when she was born...but..." Kathryn wiped a tear from her friend's cheek.
"What about Kelsey. Its American, but there *is* a Klingon spelling.
K-'E-l-s-e-y," Kathryn spelled out.
"K'Elsey Paris. I think its almost a perfect name."
"Almost?"
"K'Elsey *Kathryn* Paris....after her Godmother. B'Elanna was going to
name you as her godmother at the naming cerimony, and we were using your name
as her middle name....if you'll let us." Kathryn smiled.
"Of course! I'm honored, Tom." Tom looked up at her. He looked so lost.
"Don't worry, Tom, she'll be fine."
"Captain, will you take care of her until B'Elanna is better? I can't
leave B'Elanna and the baby doesnt belong in sickbay 20 hours a day. And what
about when I go back on duty? I can't keep a baby at the conn anymore than
you could in your ready room."
"Tom, she can stay with me anytime. If you want, you can camp out on the
couch for a while. I have to get back to my quarters and get some sleep
before I go on duty. Take a couple of days off and relax." Kathyn hugged her
friend and left sickbay. Tom watched after her as he would any other time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Kathryn?" Tom called into the quarters they now shared. He listened as
Kathryn sang softly to his now 4 month old daughter, who had become very
tempramental around feeding time. The bottle in Kathryn's hand was near
empty, and K'Elsey was ready to be burped. Kathryn moved her over her
shoulder and rubbed gently. A loud belch was heard across the room. Tom
smiled. "Hey, ladies. How are we doing today?"

"Grumpy. *Very* grumpy."

"And K'Elsey?" A pillow flew from one side of the roomm and hit Tom in
the face. He laughed it off. "Point taken." Kathryn smiled ear to ear at
hearing him laugh. B'Elanna was still in sickbay, hand hadn't changed since
they found her, and Tom only left her side when he was on duty or needed to
sleep and eat.

"Tired?"

"Not really." Kathryn raised an eyebrow at him.

"This is a first, Tom.You only come in to sleep. Everything okay with
B'Elanna?"

"No change," he said softly. "But, you have been so great about taking
care of K'Elsey, I was going to give you the night off. Chakotay is going to
take her for the evening while you and I go to the holodeck and relax for a
few hours....maybe have dinner. I've got plenty of replicator credits left,
and we can really enjoy ourselves." He tossed her a small duffle. "Change
into these. I have a surprise."

"Uh oh," she retorted, grinning. The pillow flew in her general
direction, but missed her by a meter or two. He wanted to hit his Captain,
not his daughter.

"I'll be right back." Tom took K'Elsey and went to change in the other
room.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kathryn finished changing and poked her head out of the bedroom. When
she saw him waiting on the couch with K'Elsey, she came out of the bedroom.
"Where is the sweater? Its chilly where I'm taking you."
"Its a little big."
"Its supposed to be. Trust me this time, Captain." Kathryn took notice of
how the blue sweater brought out his eyes. He looked alive tonight. She
pulled the sweater back on and tied up the old style hiking boots. She looked
in the mirror. The blue jeans and oversized forrest green sweater looked nice
with her short red hair. Tom was right. The sweater looked wonderfull too
big.
"Are you ready to go, Tom?" she asked, comeing out of the bedroom. Tom
was about to say something, but the sparkle in his eyes told Kathryn that he
was slightly preoccupied. "Let's go."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Chakotay sat on the floor while the little Klingon/human baby laid on her
back and kicked playfully.

"Maybe we should call Uncle Tuvok," he told K'Elsey, as he *attempted* to
diaper the child. After thinking for a minute, he decided to call Seven
instead.

"I will be there momentarily."

"Thanks Seven." Chakotay smiled ear to ear. Any time he could spend with
Seven was amazing to him. "Chakotay out." He looked back down at K'Elsey.
"Aunt Seven is coming to help. PLEASE wait until the diaper is on before you
decide to~" before he could finish, K'Elsey had spit up on the carpet. "Oh,
so *that's* how this works." Seven entered the quarters.

"I see we have three problems."

"Three?"

"The diaper, the spit up, and you haven't kissed me hello," she retorted
with a wry smirk on her face. Chakotay tood and kissed her gently. "I'll
clean her up, and you, my love, can clean the carpet." Seven picked up
K'Elsey and went into the bathroom, while Chakotay concentrated on his task
of the evening.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the holodeck, the year was 2001, Kathryn and Tom were lacing up their
ice skates. Tom looked over to Kathryn, who was having quite a bit of trouble
with her laces. Tom, smiled and rolled his eyes.
"Here, let me." He swatted her hands away from the skates. "They have
to be really tight so you can balance. When you first get out there, don't
let go of the bar at first. Ice hurs rear ends." Kathryn smiled at him.
"Okay, I think I can manage." Tom helped her to her feet and over to the
ice. Kathryn glided to the middle with great ease. From their she turned and
picked up speed, and then turned backwards and went into a spin. It was a
little sloppy, and she almost fell a few times,, getting back into the swing
of skating was easy.
Kathryn skated over to where Tom had first got on the ice, and hadn't
moved and came to a sudden stop, spraying him with ice.
"You didn't tell me..."
"You didn't ask." Kathryn took his arm as they skated around the other
"skaters" in the rink. "I missed this. Its been so long since I've been
skating."
"Why didn't you come here and skate? You've had almost nine years."
"Never felt the same. Still doesn't. The real thing is different, but I
don't know why. Its not the snow, or the people, its the feeling that its not
been programmed."
"I know what you mean. Sandrine's is the same way. B'Elanna has a
wonderful program waiting for her when she wakes up. It was for our first
anniversery...but that was almost 2 months ago." Tom and Kathryn skated and
talked for another hour before their holodeck time was up. "Kathryn, I
wanted to say thank you...for everything. For taking care of K'Elsey, and
letting me stay with you. I don't think I could handle being in our
quarters with out B'Elanna."
"Its all right, Tom," she replied, almost in a carefree tone. She was
about to walk off, but Tom held her back.
"No, I mean thank you from every part of my soul. Thank you, Kathryn."
Kathryn allowed herself to be hugged.
"Tom, I mean this. Anytime you need anything, you can ask. Now...let'ss
go pick up K'Elsey. Chakotay must be close to panic."
"One week's replicator rations says Seven is there teaching him how to
change a diaper." Kathryn laughed at his bet.
"I'd gamble on that, but you are probably right."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Tom?" B'Elanna whispered softly. Seven grabbed a tricorder.

"Doctor, she's awake!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tom, who was followed by Kathryn with 12 month old K'Elsey in her arms,
ran down the hall to sickbay. Neither had changed out of their pajamas, and
Kathryn had just thrown a robe over. He skidded to a stop next to B'Elanna's
biobed. She opened her eyes and smiled.
"Tom, where is the baby?" Kathryn stepped up with K'Elsey. B'Elanna's
smile faded. "She's a year old."
"Yeah....as of last week."
"Did you name her?"
"K'Elsey. Klingon, and at the same time, Human. K'Elsey Kathryn." Tom
helped B'Elanna sit up as Kathryn moved next to her. She tried to hand the
baby to her mother, but K'Elsey screamed and reached for Kathryn. "She's just
scared. She's never seen you awake. K'Els is really shy."
"Why are you both here? Why did you carry her? What is going on, Tom?"
"Tommy, you take her. I'll leave you three alone." K'Elsey went right to
her Father.
"I'll get all of my things out of your quarters tomorrow, Katie," Tom
said, forgetting momentarily his wife was now awake. When she punched him in
the nose, as Kathryn was leaving, he remembered.
"What the hell?" K'Elsey began to wail and reached back toward Kathryn.
The captain took the baby and rocked her back and forth gently. "Is she
okay?"
"She's just tired and cranky. She wasn't please to be woken up so late."
"Why.....don't you take her back to...your quarters so she can
sleep," B'Elanna said, in almost a whisper. Kathryn nodded.
"Glad to see you're okay, B'Elanna. Everyone was worried." Kathryn smiled
at her chief engineer and left.
"Thomas Eugene Paris, what the *hell* is wrong with you!?"
"What!?"
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. You and Captain Janeway, or
should I say 'Tommy' and 'Katie'. What they hell went on?"
"Nothing went on. I camped out in her quarters with K''Elsey for the last
year because I couldn't go into ours without collapsing into tears and
wishing I were dead. I had no clue how to take care of K'Elsey alone, and
Kathryn had been in here with me every second she could before K'Elsey was
born, and do you know why? She was here because she cares about you as much
as almost everyone on this damn ship. The only other person in here as much
as Kathryn and myself was Chakotay. The only time he wasn't in here or on
duty was when K'Elsey was about 4 months old. He was dating Seven then."
"And?"
"They broke it off. Seven and Harry are together. Enough gossip. I'm
going to see the doc and have my nose fixed." He went into the office,
leaving B'Elanna alone to think.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Chakotay sat down on the couch next to Kathryn and took her hand. She
felt him squeeze gently in sympathy. Kathryn blinked away tears.

"Why do I feel like I'm mourning? She's just right down the corridor."

"But she isn't calling you Mommy."

"Chakotay, she never called me that."

"But in a sense, you were 'Mommy' to her for a year. Kathryn, you can't
tell me you didn't feel like a mother to her. You were a great mother, but
she is B'Elanna's child."

"I know that, bu I miss her so much, Chakotay. Even if its been a month
since B'Elanna woke up and took her home, I......" Kathryn broke down and
cried on Chakotay's shoulder. "I want her back, but I know she isn't mine."

"Its going to be okay, Kathryn. You could have kids one day. You already
know you'll be a terrific mother. Just think about it." Chakotay looked at
the chonometer. "I have duty in 10 minutes. Get some rest, Kathryn." Chakotay
hugged his friend getnly. "I'll see you at next rotation."

"Thanks Chakotay." The Commander smiled and left.

Kathryn began to straighten up her quarters, putting all of K'Elsey's
toys away so she could bring them to Tom when B'Elanna's shift began, which
would be in a few minutes. She felt bad sneaking around her own ship, and
crew members, but Kathryn felt as though she was intruding on B'Elanna's
family. Kathryn felt as though she had no right to even see K'Elsey until
B'Elanna had bonded with her.
There was a chime at the door.

"Enter," she called, toneless. Tom stood at the door, K'Elsey in his
arms, and a black eye.

"She threw me out. Can I camp out here again?" Kathryn smiled as the baby
ran to her. She dropped to her knees to meet the toddler with a hug.

"Of course you can."

"I think she really misses you, Kat." Kathryn smiled up at him. "I think
I did too."

"Tom," she started.

"B'Elanna wants a divorce. She can't stand the sight of me, and frankly,
I am not too broken up over it."

"Liar." Tom allowed himself to cry again. He sank down to his knees near
the two already on the floor.

"I love her so much, Kathryn. She wants nothing to do with me and I can't
figure out why. I just want my family back the way it was. I wanted her to be
born with me holding B'Elanna's hand and for the two of use to take her home
and be a family."

"I know." Kathryn allowed him to cry on her shoulder as Chakotay had for
her. K'Elsey held on to Kathryn for dear life as did Tom. She smoothed his
hair out and spoke softly into his ear. "It *will* be okay, Tommy. I
promise. Its going to be okay." Tom stopped crying as Kathryn soothed him.
Neither one saw or heard B'Elanna enter, but they heard her leave, as a
picture of Tom, Kathryn and K'Elsey crashed to the floor.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was K'Elsey's second birthday party when the announcement was made.
The whole crew was somewhat surprised, but very please. All but two people.
The announcement of B'Elanna and Chaotay's wedding was a knife that twisted
into Tom's back. Under the table, Kathryn squeezed his hand and a secret
promise that had been made a year ago was broken. Tom knew that B'Elanna was
going to be very happy with Chakotay, but Tom still loved her more than his
own life.
Tom excused himself and exited the mess hall.
"Tom, wait," Kathryn called to him. He stopped but kept his back to her.
"Don't turn away from me, Tom." He spun to face her, eyes filled with tears.
"Captain, my ex wife of 8 months is getting married to my CO and my
friend. I'm sorry if I'm not too happy about that."
"Thomas Eugene Paris, are you *that* blind? You keep turning away from
*everyone* who loves you to wallow in self pitty. If you would open your eyes
you would see how much some of us love you. How much...*I* love you." Tom
sniffled lightly.
"I love you too Kat." A smile crept across her face as he took her in
his arms and kissed her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

She kissed him as passionatly as she knew how. It would be almost a year
before they'd see eachother again. Tom was taking the Delta Flyer II into a
small worm hole. It reached almost the whole way to the Alpha Quadrent, but
was too small for Voyager to get in to. It would take Tom 2 months to get
into the wormhole far enough to start expanding it, but he would have to
seal himself in whle building in it. It would take a year to finish
everything and get back out. This would be the only opperatunity for the
Flyer II to get in for another 6 months.

"Tom, I..." He hushed her.

"I know. Kathryn, I'll miss you too. But this is for the better, you
know that. We'll get home. When I get bcak, we have the wedding, right here
on Voyager." Kathryn kissed her fiance once more before he boarded the Delta
Flyer II.

"Goodbye, Tom. I love you." Kathryn allowed herself to cry.

"Bye Daddy!" four year old K'Elsey said, waving from Chakotay's
shoulders. Tom waved back at the crew and then, he was gone. Kathryn watched
after the shuttle until it was safely in the wromhole.

Everyone exited the shuttle bay silently.Chakotay saw how upset his
Captain was. He took B'Elanna's arm, and nodded towards Kathryn, then looked
up at K'Elsey.

"Um, Captain, you're off duty for the day, right?" Chakotay asked,
softly.
"Yes, why?"

"Well, Chakotay and I have duty...and we were wondering if...."

"I'd love to." B'Elanna took K'Elsey from Chakotay's shoulers and let
Kathryn hold her.

"Hi Kat!" Kathryn sniffled. "Daddy'll be ok."

"I know, Sweetie."

"Can we go to the holodeck, Mommy?" B'Elanna smiled and nodded.

"K'Els, can we go later? I have to go and see the Doctor right now."
K'Elsey frowned. "I'll tell you what. You can come and watch him scan me,
okay? Then we'll go ice skating." Kathryn tickled the little girl, who then
nodded. B'Elanna and Chakotay walked off in the opposite direction.

"Why do you have to see Doc?"

"I've been sick this morning."

"Are you gonna have a baby?" Kathryn's eyes were wide. Not only was
K'Elsey wise beyond her years, but what if she was right?

"I don't know. That's why I'm going to sickbay."

When they reached sickbay, Kathryn poked her head in. Harry was leaning
over Seven's shoulder, and was about to kiss her when they noticed Kathryn.
The doctor activaed himself. Harry and Seven tactfully retreated.

"I was giving them a little privocy," he said, coming as close to
blushing as a hologram could. "Come on back, Captain." Kathryn picked up
K'Elsey and they hopped up onto a biobed. "What seems to be the trouble,
ladies?"

"Me first!" K'Elsey said, laughing.

"She has been laughin uncontrollable the last few weeks." The Doctor
scanned the little girl.

"Hmm. Captain, look at this." Kathryn looked at the tricorder. "What do
you suppose it is?" The two mirrored eachother with serious faces. The smile
was gone from K'Elsey's face.

"I think its a case of....the giggles," Kathryn tickled her. When she
laughed, it reminded Kathryn of Tom. "Okay, my turn."

"What's been wrong?"

"I have been nausious the last few days."

"Eating in the mess hall again?" He scanned her midsection.

"No. I threw up this morning. I didn't tell Tom about it because he
wouldn't have gone on the mission."

"Maybe it would have been better if he's stayed. *You** are about 6
weeks pregnant." K'Elsey grinned like Tom did when he was about to say 'I
told you so.'

"Don't *even* say it, K'Elsey."

"Would you like to see tyour daughter's holoprogection?" Kathryn nodded.

"This is 10 months." A holographic baby appeared. "2 years," he said as
he changed the program. "Would you like to keep going?"

"Let me see 10 years old," she asked, smiling at the redish blond haired
child. The hologram changed, now fully clothed, she stood infront of
Kathryn. The girl would have her mother's eyes, and everything else like her
father. "She's so pretty."

"Yes, Captain, she is." Tears poured over the Captain's eyes.

"I wish Tom was here. I already miss him." K'Elsey reached over to
Kathryn.

"Its okay, Kat." Kathryn hugged her step-daughter to be.

"Did he already seal the wormhole?"

"Yeah. It was sealed 15 seconds after he got in."

"I'm sorry Kathryn."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
K'Elsey saw her mother enter the mess hall, she shot up and ran to her
and Chakotay, arms out stretched. B'Elanna lifted her up.
"Mommy! Mommy! I'm gonna be a big sister!" B'Elanna's eyebrows shot up as
she approched the table where Kathryn was eating.
"You are? Is Kathryn going to program you a holo-sister?"
"Nooo....she's gonna have a baby!" Kathryn's head went in her hand as she
groaned. "The Doctor said so and we got to see her. She looks like Daddy with
red hair."
"So much for keeping it quiet......"
"Congradulations Kathryn," Chakotay flashed a mischeivious grin. "If you
need anything before Tom gets back, feel free to ask."
"I *do* know a bit about babies, Chakotay." Kathryn's grin matched
Chakotays.
"But how many times were you pregnant?"
"You have a strong argument there. Join me for lunch?" B'Elanna nodded at
her husband, who pulled her chair out. The two were very happily married now.
"Captain, I've found an M-class planet we can land Voyager on and set up
a small community while the interrior is refitted."
"Chak? If we're going to be home soon, she do we have to change the
ship?" K'Elsey asked, eating her stew.
"Because, the wormholre doesn't go all the way home, Seven of Nine's
projection showed it would take 30 years of the journey home. You will be 19.
That is 15 years from now."
"Wow."
"We're going to be there in about 15 minutes. There are less than 10,000
people on the planet, and they are willing to let us land there for a year
and share their community in exchange for replicator technology, and
protection. If everything goes right, we'll have all repairs and
modifications done within 6 months. All of the crew will have to lend a hand
and become engineers in quarters' modifications. The new quarters will be
smaller; only a bed, a table, a replicator, and a bathroom. We'll encrease
the size of the mess hall to allow it to act as more of a recreation room;
couches, some card tables, a pool table, and some other games. It'll save
energy from the holodeck. The family quarters will have a small bedroom
with bunkbeds for the children. Everything not used will be recycled."
"Sounds like you've thought of everything."
"Yeah, he just wan't to keep all of the engineers busy until Tom
returns," B'Elanna said, laughing. Tears misted over Kathryn's eyes.
"Oh....Kathryn...I'm sorry...I forgot...."
"It's all right B'Elanna."
"Captain Janeway to the brigde," Tuvok's voice said over the comm badge
the captain wore. She tapped it in response.
"On my way."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Tuvok, report." Captain Janeway exited the turbo lift and went to her
chair.

"We're approaching the planet. It seems they've been attacked."

"How badly are they damaged?"

"They've lost 98% of their crops, and over 400 are dead." Tuvok punched
a few buttons. "I'm hailing them."

"This is Captain Kathryn Janeway of the Star Ship Voyager. We've come to
assist you."

"They're responding." Tuvok put it on screen just before the Captain
asked him to.

"Captain, thank GODS you're here....."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Doctor paced the length of sickbay awaiting the arrival of Kathryn,
who was now seven and a half months along. Almost all of the modifications
were complete, and she was moving all of her things into her new quarters.
The colony's crops were replanted with the help of a replicator and the
Voyager's crew.
Kathryn and K'Elsey walked into sickbay, much to the Doctor's releif.
"Sorry to bother you, Doctor. I was trying to get all of my things put
away and still leave room for Tom's....stuff." The Doctor smiled.
"Well, I could have beamed you over."
"I needed to walk off what ever is going on in there." The doctor scanned
her stomach.
"Everything is fine. You just need to relax is all. You are working far
too much, and not getting nearly enough sleep."
"I'm the Captain. Am I supposed to ignore my duty?"
"Chakotay can be in command while you rest for the next 3 days, because
I'm releiving you."
"Oh, no you aren't."
"Kathryn, you could go into early labor...or even *loose* the baby if you
don't relax. K'Elsey, keep an eye on her for me."
"You know it!"
"I know what?" the doctor asked, blankly.
"She's been watching her father's cartoons." The Dcotor smiled at the
little girl.
"I'll take care of her Doctor. I promise," K'Elsey said, as serious as she could. Kathryn laughed.
"I'm not sure I want you out of sick bay tonight. You need to rest, and
the first thing you are going to do is go right back to what you were doing."
The Doctor was silent for a while. "Doctor to Torres."
"Torres here. What's wrong? Where is K'Elsey?"
"She's here. Kathryn overdid it...again and I'm keeping her here. Can you
come get K'Elsey? I'm not sure if you were okay with her wandering the
corridors with so many people from the coloney helping with repairs."
"I'll be right down. Torres out." Another hail came over the comm.
"Captain to the bridge."
"I'm sorry commander, the captain is temporarily confined to sickbay,"
the doctor stated before Kathryn could talk. She stubournly slumped back on
the biobed.
"What's going on up there, Commander?"
"Nothing big. I'll give you a report in....oh...25 minutes or so." There
was something in his voice saying Kathryn would like the surprise. "Chakotay
out."
"Kathryn, you need to lay still. I'm going to run some more tests." The
doctor began a series of tests.
"Doctor, is she okay?" B'Elanna asked, scooping her daughter up into her
arms.
"She'll be fine. Just needs a break."
"I'm fine," Kathryn growled. "What is going on? Chakotay just called
me."
"Nothing important. Chakotay'll take care of it."
"I'm not an invalid. *What* is going on, Lt. Torres."
"I'm sorry captain, I have to take her to Naomi and get back to my
station." B'Elanna and K'Elsey left.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Mommy, the Wildman's quarter's aren't on this deck," K'Elsey said, with
confussion in her voice.

"I know. The shuttle bay is though, and your Daddy is back *early* and
we're going to go meet him." B'Elanna rounded the corner and walked into the
shuttle bay where the Delta Flyer II had docked. "Tom!"

"Daddy!" Tom hugged his daughter and ex-wife.

"Hi K'Elsey!" Tom turned to B'Elanna. "Where is Kathryn?"

"K'Elsey, go find Chakotay, all right?" K'Elsey nodded and scampered
around to the other side of the flyer.

"What's wrong? Where is she, B'Elanna?"

"Sickbay." Tom ran down the corridor and onto a turbo lift. After what
seemed like an eternaty, it stopped and he got off, running towards sickbay.

"Kathryn!?" he called. Tom stopped dead in his tracks, with a goofy grin
falling over his face. "Oh my gods!"

"Tom? How did~" She hadn't finished her sentence when she was silenced by
a kiss. "Oh Tom," she said as he hugged her tightly.

"I worked my ass off finishing early, and the wormhole isn't as long as
Seven thought. Its only going to cut another 20 years off."

"Its okay....I'm just glad you're home."

"Tom, Kathryn, why don't you two go get settled in your quarters. Don't
let her lift a finger, Tom. She hasn't slowed down the entire time you were
gone and she needs a break."

"I don't entend to."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tom ran full speed to Sickbay. Chakotay let him leave his post for the
occasion. He stopped by B'Elanna's quarters and picked up his daughters,
K'Elsey, who was now ten, and five year old Lori.
"Daddy? What's going on?"
"We're going to go meet your new baby brother,Mathew."
"Oh."
"Dad, can Taya come?" Tom looked over at B'Elanna who had fallen asleep
with her 1 year old baby girl in her arms.
"Sure, you're mom needs the sleep." Tom gently took the baby, who was
definatly wide awake, and the four hurried to greet the newest member of the
Voyager crew.
The End
