... And Baby Makes Three

Nancy and Jeff aren't sure whether to get back together; Buddy is disgusted that Audrey has fallen for the cheap ploys of the school Casanova.

Nancy: Suppose I said I wanted to remarry Jeff?
Kate: Is that a question?
Nancy: I think so.
Kate: Has he asked you?
Nancy: Is that an answer?
Kate: I'm just stalling for time.
Nancy: In other words, you think it's a lousy idea.
Kate: I don't know. What do you think?
Nancy: Oh, I think this time, we can make it work.
Kate: So he has asked you?
[Nancy shakes her head]
Kate: You asked him?
Nancy: Mother!
Kate: Well, you have been known to take the bull by the horns.
Nancy: Not this time... I'm not sure how Jeff feels. Now, part of me thinks that all this romancing is just the old charm game -- a trick to make me fall in love with him again... And, once he's sure of me, he'll take off for parts unknown with some... brunette.
Kate: Oh, Nancy, if you're that unsure -- how can you even consider it?
Nancy: Simple. The tricks worked.
Audrey: Oh, my heart...
Buddy: What about it?
Audrey: I'm in love.
Buddy: With that thing? You gotta be nuts.
Audrey: You may call it nuts, but I call it love. Every time I see him, my knees get weak, and my heart starts pounding like a hammer... my mouth gets dry... and I feel like a woman.
Buddy: Sounds more like the flu, to me.
Buddy: You know, as soon as I stopped wanting to be you, I understood you better.
Nancy: You stopped?
Buddy: You better believe it. You may be terrific-looking and everything, but who needs the complications?
