I'm too lazy
to read this--read it aloud to me
…continue on that road until you come to a church—well, a cathedral
actually. It looks like something out of the Gothic era—truly impressive:
long spires reaching up to incredible heights; an elegantly crafted bell
tower that glistens in the morning and evening sun; wonderfully handmade
stained-glass rosettes flanked by elaborately carved statues of important
religious figures of olden times—it’s quite a sight for the eyes, really.
Drive right past that and eventually you’ll come to a stop sign.
There’ll be a market-type thing to your left, but don’t worry about that
because straight ahead is the most beautiful field of flowers mankind has
ever created. This place has every flower that will grow in this
zone—which means a splendid array of hues and shades. The groundskeeper
has meticulously arranged these flowers into intricate color patterns specially
designed to please the eye and evoke intense emotional pleasure.
Words are so inadequate to convey the sense of awe and wonder one receives
from viewing this landscape. You won’t see any of it though, because
you’ll be turning left at the stop sign…
