Why The Looney Party Feels the Recall Election in California is Unfair

001    If a majority of the people were unable to actually find a competent person and elect him or her the first time around, what makes these same people experts in a person's competency now?
010    Gray Davis's name needs to be on the ballot--one should be able to vote to recall him and then name him as his successor.
011    Clearly, it is confusing that one can vote to not recall Davis, but then specify who his successor is to be should he be recalled.  The average American voter is quite incapable of handling anything as complex as making one proper decision on demand (as the 2000 Florida election made known worldwide).  So to not addle the poor brains of hapless voters, there should be two "elections"--the first, a referendum on whether or not to recall Davis; the second, a vote on his successor (which should be held even if in the first "election" Davis isn't recalled).  Plus two elections need to be held because too little money is being spent on just this one election by a state that is already financially devastated.

100    In a democracy anyone should be able to become an elected official; however, this recall election has impossible standards to get on the ballot--3,500 dollars is an astronomical sum for most individuals and a large number of political organizations.  Plus the fact that 65 is an exorbitant number of signatures to require: no one individual can know sixty-five people--even if he or she is a member of a political party.
