Julie Benz seems to be one of those actresses who nobody knows who she is but she is out there. The only things that people could probably recognize her from is as the schoolgirl vamp, Darla from Buffy the Vampire Slayer or you may have seen her lately in the extremely wacked-out teen film Jawbreaker as Marcie "Foxy" Fox, you know the follower.
In 1994 Julie auditioned for the role of Kendall Hart which she lost to Sarah Michelle Gellar. So instead they gave her a small unknown role on All My Children. Then in 1996(7) she auditioned the part for Buffy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer but again Sarah Michelle Gellar got the role instead, hmm kinda wierd huh.
Julie also has had numerous other television and movie appearances but one standout is her role as the apprehensive receptionist in As Good as It Gets. Part of her line is "How do you write Women so well" to jack Nickolson and Jack's character replies, "I think of a man, and I take away all reason and accoutability. Then Julie's character just stands there with a confused upsetting look.
After Jawbreaker Julie had a big part on the mid-season replacement Payne as Breeze O'rourke but the show was cancelled after only 8 episodes. Right now Julie hasn't been signed to anymore roles but an interesting fact is that she is married to the voice of The Cryptkeeper so her and her husband both have their own trading cards.
