In sunnydale, the scooby gang appears to be fighting off vamps, slayerless. now we all know that this won't be too successful. While this is going on we see Buffy and Angel on a beach and he states that he'll never leave, even if she kills him. But, that was just a dream and Buffy wakes up with lots of guilt in her head realizing it is time to got to work. Buffy is living in Los Angeles working as a waitress in Helen's kitchen. |
Meanwhile the bell rings as an indicator that school is starting for the students of Sunnydale, but one student is missing. Oz notifies Willow that he must take 12th grade over and she seems uneasy about the idea of her boyfriend being held back. The gang meets up with Giles in the library whom is still continuing his wild goose chase for Buffy, following every lead that he finds. Cordy and Xander are kind of reunited but they are nervous about seeing eachother so they avoid eachother.
Back at Helen's kitchen Buffy is subject to sexual harrassment and she wants to beat them up. She goes on though, as a helpless kid that ran away. While on the job she waits on a young couple, one of which she recognizes as the wannabe-vamp Chanterelle. She makes up an excuse and jets out of there hoping not be recognized. |
In Sunnydale Giles comes back from his lead on Buffy finding it to be a failure. He visits Joyce and reports the unsatisfactory news. Giles comforts the upset Joyce, telling her not to blame herself. She doesn't she blames him for taking away her doughter. She makes it perfectly clear for him to go away. The Buffy-less scooby gang discusses ways to improve their slaying technique at the Bronze.
In L.A Chanterelle now called Lily finds Buffy and states how she recognizes her. She talks about how thankful she is to Buffy for saving her life a long time ago. Lily invites Buffy to go to the Rave with her and her boyfriend Ricky but she turns the offer down. As they talk a car comes directly for a grumpy old man crossing the street. Buffy risks her life for the man by shoving him away from the car. Buffy survives this incident and walks away just fine. She storms away wanting just to get back to her apartment and runs into a guy named Ken passing out flyers on helping runaway teens. He gives Buffy the I can help pep talk and Buffy shows a bit of emotion in her self but she declines in going to the home for help.
Meanwhile the slayerettes try out there new plan for making Cordy the bait. Cordelia whines and mones and pretty soon Xander and Cordy are into some stupid arguement about Xander being in a summer fling. A vampire attacks Willow and Oz shoves the vamp away. Xander and Cordy both go for the vamp and stake it just before they share a kiss. |
Buffy is awaken by Lily who is worried sick because Ricky has dissapeared. Buffy knowing she has to help poor struggling Lily decides to help her find him. They both search places all around to their first stop which is the blood bank. They find nothing there so they leave. Buffy while without Lily finds a dead old man but it appears to be Ricky because of the tatoo he has on his arm. Buffy notifies Lily and the upset girl leaves in a rage.
Lily runs into Ken and he invites her to the home telling Lily that Ricky is there waiting for her so she gos with no hesistation. Buffy goes to the blood bank trying to tie up the loose ends in Ricky's death. The nurse finds her snooping through the files.
Lily with Ken is in a wierd hospital robe thing and is getting ready for the cleansing process then is lead to the other room. Buffy gives up on going undercover and just kicks down the door finding Lily about to being sucked into what appears to be a black pool. Ken quickly tries to push lily in but Buffy trying to save Lily goes in after her. Ken turns out to be a demon in disgiuse in this other demension and finds Lily and Buffy and makes them another one of his slaves. They are to be slaves there untill thye get too old and are spit out back to Earth but time moves way faster down there.
Buffy attempts to fight off the most of the demons. She is stopped by Ken when he threats to kill Lily. He starts giving an annoying pep talk and Lily pushes him off the high risen platform. Buffy using her super strengths lifts up a heavy gate for all of the others to get through. When it is her turn to escape Ken comes back but Buffy traps him by staking him to the ground with the bottom of the fence. She then smashes his head while stating "Here's my impression of Ghandi (smash), he was really pissed off." |
Buffy passes her identity as Anne onto Lily and head back to her real home. Joyce opens the door to find Buffy there and gives her a big hug.

Xander: "'Come and get it, big boy'?"
Willow: "Well, well, the Slayer always says a pun or, or a witty play on words. And I think it throws the vampires off and it, and it makes them frightened because I'm wisecracking. Okay, I didn't really have a chance to work on that one, but you try it every time."
