It had already been twenty-four hours since the accident, and Ryan was
still beside Gillian. Eugenia and Edmund had spent the day waiting for
news and when they got none they had left. But before they left Eugenia
had slipped a long wrapped box in to Ryan's hands.
"When she wakes up, which I know she will, I want you to give this to
her. tell her I saved it all these years."
What was what she said before leaving the hospital. Now it was just him
sitting at Gillian's side. He thanked god that Jake had pulled some
strings and he had been allowed to stay with her.
"If only I had pushed that man harder, made him take a cab... then this
would never have happened." Ryan told Gillian. He took her hand in his.
"You know princess, you are so beautiful. And you have always been so
stubborn, and kind and funny.

Him: For not giving up.Gillian: I couldn't. Him: Yeah you could and you didn't.
Gillian: No, I couldn't. Losing my money, my house- that I could
handle. But losing you. I couldn't. Him: You feel that? Gillian: Your
heartbeat. Him: OUR heartbeat.
"You never gave up on me Gillian, and I'm going to do the same thing
now. I am not going to let you die. You promised never to leave me. Do
you remember that Gillian? You said it at the Crystal Ball.
Him: Ok.Ok, Now, Look.Listen to me- you got to go back to the housenow.
Gillian: No. No.
Him: Yes. You tell them that you tried to convince me to come back but
you couldn't. Gillian: No, Ryan, I'm not leaving you. No.
Him: Listen, it would be better for both of us if I went alone.
Gillian: No,even if it is true I'm not- you go, I'm just going to

Gillian: My three Favourite word but only from your lips.

After a
couple inutes of just watching her, he saw her head move to the side
and her eyes start to flutter.
