Gooday to all you Australian Monkee Maniacs. Hope the weathers good for you. Sorry to hear that theguys couldn't get to Aussie this year.

Watched the show & enjoyed the music in the late 60s, Steppin Stone was one of the things I learned bar chords from. Acquired a better taste for the show in the mid 70s, and saw occassional similarities to Monty Python. Always felt the music was underrate
. The Missing Links series proves this all the more.
Saw The Monkees arrival at Sydney airport on tv in 1968 (too young to be allowed to the show), Mike Nesmith at the State Theatre (sublime, should have been taped for the live lp), Peter & Davy in 1986 (llukewarm), again in 1987 (red hot) and with Micky in
1988 (uninspired).
I note that all the planned Sydney concerts are for licenced premises, which is really short sighted as lots of kids like my 14 year old daughter will miss out. An all ages show must happen !!!
