Now I don’t want to call Christine a
"jock girl" right off the bat, but that's kind of how
her character description worked, and there are several examples
to back this up, but then there isn't. However, Christine often
has her own particular niche to fill in for every episode, even
those in which her athleticism has no value at all, and adds
depth to an already outstanding cast. Sure at times she’s
been “A Perfect 10” (Cool Book reference), but I think
in my opinion that her sometimes tough attitude, and occasionally
shy disposition, kind of leaves her susceptible to not as much
noteriety or role depth as Tucker and Becca’s characters
since they are the principle characters of the show. I personally
enjoy Christine’s "spunkiness" which is sometimes
displayed and without her we would probably have to have someone
like Max or Kerry’s character be Becca’s female
counterpart. No thanks. Christine was a great mediator to
maintain relational equilibrium between the characters. The best
example I can think of this is when she went off on Tucker in
"Skate Bait" when he told her Becca was acting like
Jessica Rabbit. That was a great scene.
