Maxine is someone we have also all known. She
is that person that has a little more money, done a little bit
more, been a few more places, is a little bit more daring than
yourself, and has no problem telling you about it. We don't
always agree with these people, but they usually have this power
of intrigue and curiosity that renders our concscience useless,
as has happened to Becca many a time under her influence. Also it
is these people that, just like in Flash Forward, get in the
way of a perfectly good relationship with a friend where you
understand their ideals and problems, but this person doesn't and
usually sees the other as juvenile and inferior such as in the
case of Becca and Christine's relationship. Just another facet of
the realism of growing up that Flash Forward brought to TV.
Author's Note: The two colors of Maxine's name is my own little
inside thing. The colors are the closest things I can make out of
the universal pallete that closely portrays the two colors that
Becca tried to paint her room in "Makeover." The
"throw-up" as Christine put it.
