She looks up
Dr..A:I know that you are leaving the office for that job in Salem,but my wife just went into labor and i have to be somewhere.I can't be in two places at once so could you do a favor for me?
A:Of course.
Dr..A:I need you to go to that convention i've been going to?
A:Yes.
Dr..A:Well,I still have to meet two people about their problem.Could you talk to them?
A:Yes.You're wife needs you right now,I'll lock up before I leave.
Dr..A:Thank you so much April.You are a lifesaver.I know you have to leave in a few days.But,the people I have to meet are leaving tomorrow.I wrote down their names for you.
*he hands her a piece of paper*
A:Dr..Mike Horton and Carrie Brady,they're together right?
Dr..A:Yes.I have to go.Thank you.
A:Your welcome and congratulations on the baby!
*Dr..A leaves*
A:(To herself)I better be going to. While she's locking put she mutters"Carrie Brady,that sounds so familiar."

C:One things for sure,Austin won't be there for me.

April walks into the convention.She had racked her mind thinking of where she could have heard that name before.She searched the room tring to figure out who they could be.Just then she saw to people,a man and a woman, hugging very closely.They must be so much in love she thought.She wished she could find that kind of happiness.Maybe she would in Salem.Then it hit her.She knew where she had heard that name before!

Mike and Carrie were still in their embrace when Carrie realized it.she was in love with Mike.She never admitted it to herself before but now she had to.She really truly loved Mike with all her heart.When they came out of there hug they were both smiling.For the first time in months she was genuinely happy.

You two are-Ok let me introduce myself.My name is April Rameriz.I'm from Dr.Anderson's office.I'm his assistant.He sent me here because he couldn't make it.

C:Yes as a matter of fact we do.
M:She's Carrie's sister.
A:I was a very close friend of hers when she was in L.A. a few years back.
C:You were?
A:Yes we still keep in touch but,now i have a big surprise for her.

A:Yup,I got a really good job as an assistant for a world-renowned doctor in Salem.
M:Where will you be working.
A:At a place called University Hospital.
C:Really?Mike works there!Which doctor will you be working for?
A:Dr.Evens.Dr.Marlena Evens.

A:Now down to business.who is this man we're supposed to be treating?
C:He's my father.
A:Ok.I haven't seen his chart yet.Could I take a look?

A:(After awhile)This is really bad.
M:It is.If we don't help him he could die.
A:I'm sorry Carrie.(thinks for a minute)Oh my god.I know what we could do!
C:You do!?
A:Yes.There was a man who had just abou the same thing your father does.We gave him a very special medicine and it cured him without any side affects.
M:We have to get this drug.
A:The file is at the office.
C:Let's go then.
They all ride to the office.As they drive along the song "Cupid" by 112 comes on the radio.During the song Mike and Carrie give each other romantic glances,April knows that they're in love for sure. When they get to the office Mike takes a look at the records and the treatment while Carrie tells April about Salem.After he checks everything for the 5the time he finally says "We found a cure"

Marlena and John are sitting in the garden.
M:Carrie and Mike haven't called back yet.What if they couldn't find a cure?They have to come back tomorrow
J:(hugging Marlena)They will find a cure.I know it.
M:I hope so.

Carrie is totally ecstatic and hugging Mike very tightly.April is just standing off to the side.

Carrie pulled away from Mike.
C:April,thank you very much for saving my dad.I know our family will love you.
A:No problem.I was happy to help.If the rest of your family is as nice as you two are then I'll love it in Salem.
M:They are.You never talked about your family.How are they?
April turned away.
A:I don't have a family.My dad died when I was really young.I didn't have any siblings and my mom died of cancer a year ago.So the past year I've been alone.Sure I've had boyfriends and I have friends but,it's not the same.
C:That's so sad.I'm sorry we mentioned your family.We didn't know.
A:That's all right.It would have come out sooner or later.
C:I promise that you are going to love Salem.
April smiled at them.
C:I better call Marlena and tell her we found a cure.
Mike went to the pharmacy to place the order and April went to the back room to get the rest of her stuff.
C:(On the phone)Marlena!We found a cure!
M:(On the other side of the phone)Oh!Thank God!Are you sure?
C:Yes very and you'll never guess who found the cure!
M:Who?
C:You know that new assistant your getting.
M:Yes.
C:She did!
M:You met her?How?
C:The doctor she used to work for couldn't make it so she went.She remembered that a patient that the doctor had had almost the same thing Dad did and she told us about it and she found the cure.
M:My new assistant saved the life of my children's father.Oh,the family will just love her!
C:They will!She is the sweetest thing.And Eric needs a girl so I was thinking.......
M:Carrie...
C:I know but,I'm going to try none the less.Oh,and don't talk about her family too much.Her parent's died and she's all alone.
M:How horrible.
C:I know.She never fell in love either.
M:So that's why you thought of Eric.
C:Yes they would be perfect together and she already knows Sami.

C:Yes she does.When Sami ran away to L.A. she met her and they became close friends.

Carrie told her the story about her & Austin & Sami & Lucas.
A:Well,I've been known to play cupid.I promise you by the end of this month you two will be together.
C:I couldn't ask you to do that.You have you own life to worry about..

M:They can.But,it's not going to be done until tomorrow morning and our flight is tomorrow morning so we have to take the afternoon flight.

Mike takes Carrie and April back to the hotel(April's car is still there).When she got out of the parking lot she turned on the radio and the song "Let It Flow" by Toni Braxton came on.
A:I'm going to start over.Starting tonight.
When she got to her apartment she was greeted by dozens of boxes.She still hadn't packed her nice dresses she now glad she hadn't.After a while she decided to wear a simple long black halter dress.She remembered to put on the diamond bracelet her mother gave her before she died.Then she put her hair in a French twist,put on her black pumps,grabbed her purse and left.
She got to the restaurant a little early so she just sat down and waited for them.When they walked in she was stunned Carrie was wearing the exact same thing except it was white.
C:Oh my God!
A:I guess we have the same sense of style
They laughed
M:Well I guess I'm having dinner with a very beautiful dove and a very beautiful raven.I am so lucky.
A:You know we're very lucky too.We're having dinner with a very handsome penguin(He was wearing a black suit with a white shirt and black tie.) All three laughed.They made small talk until their food arrived them they ate in silence for about five minutes.then Carrie said "So how was your friendship with Sami?"
A:Well it was really good at first,but then I got a fully paid scholarship to UCLA and I guess she was jealous.So she told the board that I had seduced the guy who interview.So they didn't give me a scholarship.And I didn't even do that.After a while I told her I forgave her but,I never really could forgive her.
C:Who could?
After a few minutes.
C:I have to go freshen up.
A:I'll go with you.
M:So your going to leave me all alone.(Making a puppy dog face)
A:Yes we are
C:We'll be back soon.
In the lady's room-
C:Do you really think you can get me and Mike together?
A:Positive.I'm a regular cupid.
C:Well,I know how to play cupid too and I'm going to get you someone.
A:Who?

A:Who?(She had a feeling she knew what was coming)

A:That's exactly what Carrie said.I haven't even met him yet.
What they didn't know is that while they were dancing Carrie was calling Eric on her cell phone.
C:Eric!She is nice,sweet,smart,and really pretty.
E:I have not met her yet.
C:I know.Eric,she's going to be Marlena's assistant and she's the one who found the cure for dad.
E:She did?
C:Yes!
E:I know your trying to play matchmaker but,I have to meet her first.

C:We're leaving tomorrow too.
A:But,I have to drive.
C:Why?
A:It's the only way I can get my car there.
C:If we don't see each other tomorrow here's my address.
M:Where are you staying?
A:I have an apartment.(She looks at the paper)I live in the same building.
C:You do!
A:Yes.But I'm going to have to sleep on the floor a few nights while they unpack everything.
C:No you don't you can stay with me.

April wakes up refreshed and happy.She was going to start over.Nothing was going to do anything now.

She had been at her Aunt's house the night before.She was her only Aunt and her Uncle died a few years back,now ever since her cousin and best friend Angie was living with her Mom.It was a sad night.there were so many tears. Everything had been hauled away in the truck now all she had to do was put her suitcases in the car,turn in her keys and leave.That's exactly what she did.When she was on the freeway she made a decision.She was going to get Sami back no matter what!

he was still banging on the door.
A:Leave me alone!!

All pounding on the door made it fly open.
A:Leave me alone!!
MP:I can't!
He beat her badly them left.She lay in bed all night crying.
A:(Whispering to herself.)That's how he shows me he loves me.
