Outside Austin’s Apt.
Eric: (embarrassed) Hi Austin.
Austin: (teasingly) What was that all about?
Jaime: Eric and I met in Colorado, I finished nursing school over there.
Austin: That’s right, so then you two are a couple?
Jaime and Eric eye each other, Eric puts his arm around her.
Eric: Yes Austin, we are.
Lucas walks out of Austin’s Apt.
Lucas: Hey bro
Eric gives him the evil eye.
Austin: Lucas what do you want?
Lucas: Chill bro, I just want to call a truce. I don’t want to fight anymore. I mean we both don’t have Carrie since she’s with Mike so why don’t we be miserable together? What do you say, we got out for a beer?
Austin: (eyes him) I don’t think so, too much has happened already.
Lucas: Come on Austin I mean it. My treat.
Austin: Well, OK. Bye Jaime, nice seeing you again.
Jaime: Bye Austin.
Lucas and Austin leave.
Jaime: Eric you don’t like Lucas much do you?
Eric: (laughs) Is it that obvious?
Jaime: (laughs) Well, yeah.
Eric: We are you staying?
Jaime: Well Sami offered for me to stay with her, I was on my way to the Salem Inn to get my stuff.
Eric: Are you sure you want to do that?
Jaime: I’ll be fine.
Eric: OK, well I’ll stay with Sami until you get back.
Jaime: OK They kiss goodbye.
C&M in LA
Carrie is taken aback by the kiss, but she comes to the realization that she wanted him to kiss her. She’s in love with Mike.
Mike: Carrie I’m sorry I…
Carrie: Don’t be Mike, I feel the same way.
Mike: (shocked) You do?
Carrie: (nods) Yes, I do.
They kiss again, very passionately.
Austin & Lucas at Bar
Lucas: (in head) I hate doing this. Sami better have a good plan. (to Austin) Nice suds huh bro?
Austin: hmm.
Lucas: Does Carrie know about the annulment?
Austin: No, she’s in LA with Mike. Just drop it OK?
Lucas: Hey lay off bro. I’m not asking for a fight.
Austin eyes him.
Austin’s Apt.
Eric: Sami how are you doing? Are you all right?
Sami: yeah, no. I can’t believe Austin doesn’t love me. ( She starts crying).
Eric: Sami, I’m sorry. He hugs her.
Sami: I’ll be all right, especially since Jaime is back. How do you know her Eric? And why did you call her another name?
Eric sighs.
C&M in LA
Carrie wraps her arms around Mike. They continue to kiss very passionately. Carrie starts to pull off Mike’s shirt. Mike backs away.
Mike: Carrie are you sure about this?
Carrie: Positive, I’m sorry I didn’t realize how I felt sooner.
They kiss again and walk towards the bedroom. They fall on the bed with a flood of kisses. They make love.
Carrie’s Apt.
Austin back from bar.
Austin: (in head) Maybe I should tell Carrie about the annulment. No, she’s with Mike now. I have to accept that.
The phone rings, it’s Kate.
Austin: Hi mom.
Kate: Baby have you told Carrie about the annulment yet?
Austin: No, Carrie is in LA, with Mike.
Kate: In LA? I wasn’t notified of her taking a trip.
Austin: Eric said that there is a huge medical conference in LA. Marlena couldn’t attend it, so Carrie and Mike went in hopes of finding a cure for Roman.
Kate: Well then that explains it. Call her.
Austin: I called the hotel, they’re sharing a suite together.
Kate: Maybe they only had one room available. Honey, Carrie loves you. You need to call her and hear it from her.
Austin: Maybe you’re right.
Kate: I know I’m right. Call her. And tell her that I can have everything set up for your wedding outside the mansion by tomorrow.
Austin: Mom…
Kate: Just call her and call me after you’ve talked to her. Bye baby.
Austin: OK, bye mom.
Austin: Now where did I put that phone number?
Austin’s Apt.
Sami: So Eric? Spill it.
Eric: Mar…sorry Jaime and I met in Colorado. She stayed in an apartment on Grandma and Grandpa’s street.
Sami: That’s wonderful Eric! But why did you call her, what was it Marie?
Eric: Marie is her middle name. She went by Marie in Colorado.
Sami: Oh. How long have you known each other?
Eric: Over a year, ever since she first moved there.
Sami: Are you in love with her?
Eric: (smiles) What’s with all the questions sis? Yes, I do love Jaime.
Eric, you’re my twin, I care about you. You’ve been gone so long. I want to know what you’ve been up to.
Knock on door. Sami opens it.
Sami: Hi Jaime! You can put your stuff in the back room if you want.
Jaime: Hi Sami, Eric.
Eric: I’ll let you two catch up with each other. I know Sami only has bits and pieces of her memory, but I’m sure she’d like to know about how you’ve been Jaime.
Sami: Of course I would.
Eric: I’m going to check on Austin and see if he’s heard from Carrie. Hopefully there will be some good news about dad.
Sami: Oh Eric I hope so. Call me if there is.
Eric: I will Sami. Bye Jaime. (He kisses her on the cheek.)
Jaime: Bye Eric.
He leaves.
Jaime: So Sami, where would you like me to start?
Sami gives Jaime her "the evil Sami up to something look."
Jaime: Oh no.
C&M in LA
Carrie and Mike are asleep. Mike has his arm around Carrie, Carrie’s head is on his shoulder. The phone rings. Carrie wakes up and looks at Mike, then answers it.
Carrie: (sleepily) Hello?
Austin: Carrie hi, it’s me.
Carrie: Austin.
Austin: Have you found a cure yet?
Carrie: Yes, we think so. The doctors are having it delivered to the room tomorrow morning.
Austin: That’s great I’m glad because I have some news. Big news, at least for me it is.
Carrie: What?
Austin: My marriage to Sami has been annulled, and she knows about it.
Carrie: Annulled? How?
Austin: Mickey pulled through for me. He’s been working on it for awhile, he found a way for me to get the annulment without Sami’s memory returning.
Carrie: (quietly) That’s wonderful Austin.
Austin: I am so glad to hear you say that. My mom is making plans for us to get married outside the mansion tomorrow. If that’s still what you want.
Carrie looks at the sleeping Mike and pauses. Tears well up in her eyes.
Carrie: Of course that’s still what I want.
Austin’s Apt.
Jaime: I know that look Sami, all too well. You have your memory back don’t you?
Sami: Why do you say that Jaime?
Jaime: Don’t give me that Sami, I know you. I can tell when you’re up to something and you are aren’t you?
Sami: I can’t fool you, huh Jaime.
Jaime: I knew it! Sami when are you going to give it up? Austin doesn’t love you, and as soon as he tells Carrie about the annulment it’s over for you.
Sami: I wouldn’t be so sure about that Jaime. Carrie is in LA with Mike, as long as they’re there, I have time to make Austin mine.
Carrie’s Apt.
Lucas is walking outside the apartment. He listens in on Eric and Austin’s conversation.
Eric: Austin, you look happy, what happened? Did you talk to Carrie?
Austin: Yes, I told her about the annulment.
Lucas: (in head) Oh no!!
Eric: That’s great Austin!
Austin: We’re getting married tomorrow, my mom’s having everything set up at the mansion.
Lucas: I’ve got to tell Sami!
Eric: Did she and Mike find a cure then?
Austin: She said that they did, Mike’s going to bring it back tomorrow.
Eric: Oh thank God. I don’t think I could bear losing my dad again. What are you going to tell Sami?
Austin: The truth, I know it will hurt her but I have no choice, I’ve let Carrie down too many times.
Eric: Do you want me to break it to her?
Austin: No, I will.
C&M in LA
Carrie is sitting at a table. She has been writing a letter. She looks over at Mike sleeping and sighs. She reads the letter over once more.
Dear Mike,
Last night was wonderful, no one has ever made me feel the way you do. Which is why it’s so hard to write this. Austin called, he got the annulment from Sami. All of this time Mickey had been working on a way to get the annulment while Sami has amnesia. Austin didn’t tell me about it because he didn’t want to disappoint me if it didn’t go through. I betrayed him, I feel so lost. I have to go back to Salem. Kate’s planned everything for us to get married tomorrow afternoon at the mansion. I have to do this, it’s what I always wanted to do. I’m sorry Mike, I never wanted this to happen. You will always be in my heart, I will never ever forget you, or this night. But I have to marry Austin. I can’t let him down now.

Carrie sighs and folds up the letter and writes "Mike" on it. She sets it by the bed. She looks at Mike and kisses him on the head. She grabs her stuff and head for the door. She looks at Mike one last time. Tears are in her eyes.
Carrie: I love you.
She then heads out the door.
Austin’s Apt.
Jaime: I don’t want to be a part of this, I’m telling Austin.
Sami: Oh no you don’t. I told you Carrie is in LA with Mike. She’s in love with him.
Jaime: Why should I believe you?
Lucas barges in.
Sami: Come on in Lucas.
Lucas: Sami this is important. ( He then sees Jaime).
Sami: Don’t worry Lucas, everything will work out. My plan is sure to work. We have time.
Lucas: That’s just it Sami! We don’t have time!
Austin knocks on door. Sami opens it.
Sami: Austin, you came back!!
Austin: No Sami, I have some news to tell you. Sit down.
Sami: What?
Austin: The other woman I told you about, she knows about the annulment. The woman, she’s your sister Carrie. We’re getting married tomorrow.
Sami: No! No Austin it can’t be true! (She is crying hysterically)
Austin; I’m sorry Sami, but this woman and I have waited to long to be together.
Sami: I don’t want to hear it! Just go!
Austin: Sami, I…
Sami: Go!
Austin leaves.
Jaime: Well it looks like your game is up Sami, Austin and Carrie will be married tomorrow.
Sami: Not if I can help it.
Lucas: You’ve got a plan?
Sami: Why do you doubt me? Of course I have a plan. And it’s going to break up Carrie and Austin for good.

It is a new day in Salem and LA. Carrie is at Kate’s, she stayed over there. Austin stayed at Carrie’s for Carrie got home late. Sami and Lucas conspired a sure-fire way to stop Carrie and Austin’s wedding, while Jaime desperately tried to convince them to give it up.
The Kiriakis Mansion.
Carrie is dreaming. She is sitting in her room getting ready for the wedding. Mike bursts in.
Mike: Carrie you can’t marry Austin.
Carrie: Mike? What are you doing here?
Mike: You’re making a mistake, I know you love me as much as I love you. You showed me that last night. Don’t marry Austin Carrie.
Carrie: (tears in her eyes) I’m sorry Mike, I should never have left LA! I do love you!
They embrace and kiss passionately.
Kate walks in the room to wake Carrie up.
Kate: Carrie? Carrie?
Carrie: (sleepily) Mike?
Kate: (in head) Oh no. Carrie, it’s me Kate.
Carrie: Oh, morning Kate.
Kate: Are you ready for today?
Carrie: (shakes off her dream) Of course Kate.
Kate: I had the cook make some breakfast, you hungry?
Carrie: Sure, I’ll be right down.
Kate: OK Kate leaves.
Carrie: I have to stop thinking abut him, I love Austin and we’re getting married. (She looks in mirror) but I love Mike too.
At Carrie’s Apt.
Austin and Eric are getting ready for the wedding.
Eric: Austin I feel very honored to be your best man, I’ve only known you for a few days.
Austin: Eric, you’re Carrie’s brother, I’m very happy to have you as my best man.
Eric: Have you seen Carrie yet?
Austin: She called when she got in, we agreed not to see each until the wedding, it’s bad luck.
Eric: Well we better head over to Kate’s and get ready.
Austin: Yeah, I just hope Sami is doing OK.
Eric: Me too, Jaime is there for her, I think she’ll be all right.
Austin’s Apt.
Lucas knocks on door. Sami opens it, she is already dressed up for the wedding. Lucas is wearing a suit.
Sami: Come on in Lucas.
Lucas: Is everything set?
Sami: Yes, Jaime’s with Will right now.
Lucas: Jaime won’t be a problem will she?
Sami: No, don’t worry Lucas. Everything will go according to plan. Now we have to head over to Kate’s.
Jaime comes out with Will.
Jaime: You two better not be scheming again. Don’t think that I won’t hesitate to stop you.
Sami: Jaime, you wouldn’t dare. If you do, I’ll tell my brother all about your dark secret that you’ve been hiding. The real reason why you left Salem.
LA
Mike wakes up.
Mike: Carrie?
He looks over and sees the note. He begins to read it. There’s a knock on the door. Mike opens it, it’s the antibiotic for Roman.
Mike: Thanks.
He finishes reading the letter.
Mike: I’ve got to stop her from making the biggest mistake of her life.
Kate’s, Carrie in the "bridal room."
Carrie is in her wedding gown. She is looking in the mirror. She has a flashback of her and Mike making love.
Carrie: I’ve got to stop thinking about it. I’m marrying Austin today.
Knock on door. It’s Marlena, Hope, and Jen. They are wearing their bridesmaids dresses. Marlena is the maid of honor.
Marlena: Can we take a peek?
Carrie: (laughs) Sure come on in.
They come in.
Hope: Carrie you look beautiful.
Carrie: Thanks Hope. They hug.
Marlena: They’re almost ready, are you OK?
Carrie: I’m fine, it’s my wedding day!
Jen: Good luck Carrie, we’ll see you down the aisle.
Carrie: Thanks Jen.
They leave.
Carrie: This is it, my wedding to Austin.
Mike on plane.
Mike: I have to get there before it’s too late.
Lucas and Sami at Kate’s.
Sami: Listen, you be the look out for people, I need to talk with your mother.
Lucas: All right.
Sami walks in the room where Kate is talking with some caterers.
Sami: Kate? I need to talk to you.
Kate: sighs. (to caterers) I think that’s it, if there’s anything else you need to know, contact me. The caterers leave the room.
Kate: What is it Sami?
Sami: You know very well why I’m here. You have to stop Carrie and Austin’s wedding.
Kate: In your dreams.
Sami: Well then if you don’t, I’ll tell everyone, including Hope all about you and your dirty little secrets.
Kate: Hah! You wouldn’t dare, then everyone would know that you have your memory back.
Sami: Watch me. I’m sure Hope would be very disappointed to hear the truth about Franco.
Kate: I’m not stopping the wedding Sami, you’re on your own.
Sami: Suit yourself Kate, if Carrie and Austin marry I will expose every little dirty secret I have on you. Your children and everyone in Salem will despise you.
Sami leaves.
Lucas: Did it work?
Sami: I don’t think Kate will let the wedding happen, if it does, then we move to Plan B.
Lucas: Right, but I hate using Will.
Sami: Lucas don’t worry about it, OK.
They head outside for the ceremony.
Carrie’s Room
Knock on door, it’s Eric.
Carrie: Eric, hi.
Eric: You look beautiful.
Carrie: (half smiles) Thanks.
Eric: What’s wrong, Carrie?
Carrie turns away.
Carrie: Nothing Eric.
Eric: Don’t lie to me, I know something’s wrong, what is it?
Carrie: Eric, don’t worry about it. I’ll be fine.
Knock on door, it’s John.
John: Ready pumpkin?
Carrie: Yes. She whispers to Eric "I’ll be fine, don’t worry."
John and Carrie head toward the ceremony.
Eric: I hope she’s right. He heads back to the ceremony.
Salem airport.
Mike is outside airport.
Mike: I’ve got to get to Kate’s and fast. Taxi! He waves at it.
Mike: the Kiriakis Mansion, and fast!
Cab driver: Right away sir.
The wedding
Carrie with John.
John: I know you wish that Roman could walk you down the aisle.
Carrie: He’s better off not knowing about Sami yet. When he’s cured we can tell him everything.
The music begins and the bridesmaids begin to walk down the aisle. First Hope with Franco, then Jen with Jack. Then Marlena walks down.
John: Well this is it.
Carrie and John walk down the aisle. Everyone smiles at them.
Front of the Mansion.
Mike gets out of the cab and pays him.
Mike: I hope I’m not too late!
The wedding
The priest begins the ceremony.
Priest: Do you Austin take Carrie to be your wife, to love and to cherish, to have and to hold, for all the days of your life?
Austin: I do.
Sami and Lucas.
Sami: Just wait, a few more seconds then plan B goes into action.
Mike is on his way to the backyard. He runs as fast as he can to get there.
Priest: Do you Carrie take Austin to be your husband, to love and to cherish to have and to hold, all the days of your life?
Carrie: I…I
Mike bursts into the aisle.
Mike: No she doesn’t!
Everyone stares at him.

Mike: Carrie, you can’t marry Austin.
Kate: This is ridiculous, Mike what are you doing?
Laura: Shut up Kate!
Mike: Just hear me out, OK? Carrie, I know that you feel that same way about me as I do you. Last night you proved that to me.
Austin’s eyes get wide.
Austin: Carrie?
Sami(to Lucas) Looks like we don’t have to do plan B.
Mike: Carrie, don’t make this mistake.
Kate: What mistake? Carrie loves austin and Austin loves Carrie.
Carrie: Speak for yourself Kate. (She turns to austin, tears are in her eyes) I’m sorry Austin, I can’t marry you.
Mike sighs of relief.
Carrie: (turns to Mike) I’m so sorry Mike. She runs into his arms.
Carrie: I love you.
Mike: I love you too.
Kate: No…
Austin: Mom, this is all your fault. I told you Carrie was in love with Mike but you just had to push me to get in the middle. Just stay out of my love life! I can take care of myself!
Kate: Austin I
Austin: Mom just leave it OK.
Austin walks into the mansion.
Everyone is talking about what just happened.
Kate: (to Sami, angrily) Well I hope you’re happy.
She walks back into the house.
C&M
Mike: I’m so glad I made it in time.
Carrie: Me too. I’m sorry Mike, I was just so confused. I didn’t want to hurt Austin, I felt like I had betrayed him.
Mike: Hey, it’s OK. I understand.
Jennifer walks over.
Jen: so Mike you’ve been keeping secrets from your sister?
Mike: (laughs)
Jen: I’m happy for you both.
Mike: Thanks Jen.
Carrie: I guess we have some explaining to do huh?
Mike: Yeah.
Carrie: Everyone, can I have your attention?
Kate walks back out.
Carrie: I’m sure you’re all wondering what’s going on. Well, Mike and I have spent a lot of time together because Austin was with Sami. He taught me to stand up for myself and grow independent.
Mike: And she taught me how to losen up and have a life outside the hospital.
Carrie: As we saw each other more and more we grew closer and closer.
Mike: And the next thing we knew…
Carrie: We were in love. But we didn’t admit it at first, Mike thought I loved Austin, I thought I loved Austin. We didn’t admit it until we were in LA. I’m sorry everyone, when Austin called me with the news, I was confused. I didn’t want to disappoint him, I felt like I had betrayed him. So you won’t be seeing a wedding today.
Mike: (clears his throat) Wait a minute Ms. Brady He gets down on one knee.
Mike: Carrie Brady, I love you more than anything I’ve ever known. Nothing would make me happier than to wake up to you by my side everyday. Will you make me the happiest man in the world? Will you marry me?
Carrie is moved to tears. She smiles.
Carrie: Of course I’ll marry you Michael Horton.
They embrace and kiss passionately. Everyone smiles.
Kate: No!! Not at my house you don’t!

Everyone stares at Kate.
Kate: This was supposed to be my son’s wedding to Carrie. Not Michael Horton’s!
Austin walks out.
Austin: Mom stop it!
Kate: It’s my house! I won’t have it!
Carrie: Kate, please don’t…
Sami walks up to Kate and whispers in her ear.
Kate: Oooh! Do whatever you want!
She rushes off inside.
Austin: I’m sorry about that. Carrie, I want you to be happy, and I see that you are with Mike. I’m not going to stand in your way.
Carrie: Thank you Austin.
Mike: Thanks Austin, that means a lot.
Marlena: Well are we going to have a wedding or what?
Everyone laughs.
Mike: I have to get changed first, unless you want me to marry you in jeans.
Carrie: (laughs) Do you have a tux?
Mike: At Jen’s I do.
Jen: I’ll take you there if you want.
Mike: Thanks Jen, Carrie I’ll see you at the aisle! He kisses her.
Eric: Wow what a day.
Jaime: Yeah, I’ll say.
Carrie: Well, to the brideroom, again!
Everyone laughs.
Franco’s cell phone rings. He goes out of earshot.
Franco: Hello? (pause) What? (pause) All right, I’ll do it. I don’t like it but I’ll do it.
Hope: Franco, who was that?
Franco: Listen Hope, I’ve got to go, urgent business. I’ll be back in time for the wedding.
Hope: OK
Carrie in Brideroom. Knock on door.
Carrie: Eric? Come on in.
Eric: I knew there was something wrong! Why didn’t you tell me?
Carrie: I’m sorry Eric, I messed up, big time.
Eric: Well either way I’m happy for you. Mike’s a good guy.
Carrie: I know. Thanks Eric.
At Jen’s
Jen: Well I expected a wedding today, I just didn’t think that it would be my brother’s wedding day!
Mike: (laughs) You knew how I felt about Carrie before this, didn’t you?
Jen: Mike, it was so obvious, I know you. Now go get ready, you’ve got a bride waiting for you!
Outside Jen’s
Franco comes out of the bushes.
Franco: I hate doing this, but I can’t let my boss down. He peeks in the window.
Lucas and Sami
Lucas: Sami, I didn’t want this to happen, I wanted Carrie.
Sami: I know Lucas, what do you want me to do? We broke up Carrie and Austin didn’t we?
Lucas: I give up, I need a vacation.
Sami: You’re giving up? Well I’m not giving up on Austin, as long as Carrie is with Mike, I can easily get Austin to fall in love with me.
Austin: No you can’t.
Sami: (shocked) Austin!
Jen’s
Mike walks downstairs in his tux.
Jen: My don’t you look handsome!
Mike: Thanks Jen.
Jen: Mike do you have any rings?
Mike: Yes actually I do
Jen: Well then let’s go.
They walk out the door.
Jen: Oh I forgot my purse. She walks back in. Someone grabs Mike from behind and they get into a struggle.
Jen walks back out.
Jen: Mike!
