Canon EF 28–70mm ƒ2.8L USM

Canon EF 28–70mm ƒ2.8L USM

Review
I bought this lens this year. It is my second L lens that I owned. I already have the 70–200mm ƒ2.8L USM. So this lens complement the other lens. Now, I have the focal length from 28–200 effectively. The 28–70mm ƒ2.8L USM is a very solid lens even though the look doesn't look good bacause it is kind of plastic feeling. However, the focusing is damn fast. It comes with a petal flower like lens hood which is very useful to cast away flare as well as protecting the front of the lens. The lens is very heavy, 880g.

Prior to buying this lens, I was very confused on which lens to buy. I mean the range from 28-70. I did some homework by looking at various options such as the Tokina 28–70 mm ƒ2.8-4 and 28–80 mm ƒ2.8 respectively. I received many good feedback regarding these two lens but after long consideration, I still prefer to buy the Canon L lens version. No regret to buy it despite its cost.

I did most of my wedding shots with this lens. If you want to be the best, get the L lens.
