Canon Speedlite 550EX

Canon Speedlite 550EX

Review
At first glance the Speedlite 550EX appears to be just a more powerful version of the 380EX. Appearances, however, are deceptive. The Speedlite 550EX offers a range of powerful new features which change the face of EOS flash photography. Initially, I bought the 380EX and then sold it away because I didn't like the inability of the flash to rotate, less powerful, etc. So I got the 550EX. You will never regret getting this monster. Flash coverage is set automatically from 24mm to 105mm, and a wide-angle panel extends the coverage to 17mm. The only thing that I dislike this flash is that it fires a re-flash before the actual flash output. It has also incorporated some new features such as E-TTL (Evaluative through-the-lens), FE (flash exposure) Lock, FP (focal plane) flash, Wireless flash.
