Canon EF 70–200mm ƒ/2.8L USM

Canon EF 70–200mm ƒ2.8L USM

Review
This is the latest piece of lens that is added to my arsenal. I was deciding on the 70-200mm ƒ4L USM or this one. I chosen the latter because of the large aperture (2.8). This comes in very handy when you are shooting in low light as well as creating a nice blur background for portraiture. Therefore, it all depends on what you need. Go for this lens if you need the large aperture else go for the f4 version. You will save a thousand dollar.

A white lens with fast internal focusing, this telephoto zoom is almost mandatory for EOS pros. Expect high uniform optical performance and mechanical integrity. Four of Canon’s UD glass elements correct chromatic aberration. While as big and heavy as any of its ilk, its 70mm short-zoom setting adds a little extra zoom range. Focusing is to 59 inches for a maximum magnification of 0.16x. EF lens accessories include a 500D double-element achromatic close-up lens with a 77mm thread, an expedient accessory for nature photographers who can’t always pick their tripod positions. The lens has an eight-blade diaphragm, a minimum aperture of ƒ32, and a rotating tripod collar.
