This is from a Disney Adventures that's a little over a year old. D.A. listed the Top 20 Kids in Hollywood. Both Ben and Rider were part of the top 20.
Age: 15*
Claim to Fame: Plays Cory on “Boy Meets
World.”
The Start: “When I was about 5, I told my mom and dad I wanted
to go to auditions. I’ve always been energetic. That year, I did my first commercial for
Cosco Drugs. I sat in a pool. Then I did more commercials When I was 7, I was in my first
movie, Little Monsters. I filmed it in the summer, before third
grade.”
The Big Move: “My family decided to move to California, not for
my and my brother’s careers, just because we wanted to move here. Chicago is my
favorite place in the whole world, and I support all their sports. I’m a big Bears fan, a
bigger Bears fan than Bulls fan.”
A Natural: “No, I’ve never taken acting
lessons. I don’t have a coach. It just comes naturally for me.”
Favorite Acting
Moment: “When I was 11, I made the TV miniseries ‘Wild Palms.’ I played a
psychotic killer. It was futuristic, so I wore futuristic clothes. I was really terrible and used
something called a Taser gun on people, and I burned to death in a chapel. I had so much
fun with that role.”
School Rules: “I work three weeks on, one week off,
usually. I attend a private school in Los Angeles. And when I’m working, I have three
excellent tutors on set and I have to go to school three hours a day. Lots of kids think
that’s so cool- school for only three hours a day- but what they don’t realize is that I get
home around 7 p.m. and then I have to do homework until about midnight. Then I sleep
and get up at 7 a.m. It’s tough because I’ll go back to my regular school after having
three weeks off and I’ll be really far behind, or I’ll come back and have to take a test that I
didn’t know about. I love school- my teachers at my real school are really cooperative
about my schedule. I couldn’t do it without them.”
