400 years ago - Singh pirates attacked and destroyed a great sailing ship in the bay of Bengali. The sole survivor was washed ashore on a remote beach where he was found and saved by friendly pygmies. This was the first phantom. He swore an oath on the skull of his father's murderer. For four centuire the line of the Phantom has continued unbroken from Father to Son, but the Natives of the East, beliving it is always the same man, think the Phantom is immortal. The Phantom is the nemisis of all evildoers - the Phantom fought especially against pirates and in particular the Singh - to have revenge on the first Phantom's father.
"I swear to devote my life to the descrution of piracy, cruelty and injustice - may my sons and their sons follow me."
