over her appearance.
Doesn't pick fights, but will kill (without remorse or enjoyment) if
she feels it is necessary.

giant spiders, snakes, crustaceans, and most fowl), but will try to bite
an opponent (d8+2 damage) if she's desperate.
Abhors slavery; greatly values freedom.
Background:
Born in Kitharon, Samoset (an island on Lyrolth that's kinda like Greece
and kinda like Hawaii). She survived in Kitharon as a Thief. After a while,
she got tired of being a Thief and left Samoset on a boat (i.e. she stowed
away) that was bound for the Calatian mainland. Eventually, her travels
brought her to LongFang, where she met Langsharra--who offered to teach
her magic. Kuwani agreed to be Langsharra's apprentice.
Kuwani's "vague resemblance" to a certain Rescue Ranger wasn't entirely unintentional. The name "Kuwani" (and the basic concept of the resulting character) was created when I tongue-tripped while trying to say "Lawhiney". David said something to the effect of, "Kuwani? Who is that? Lawhiney's AD&D universe self?" I replied that it could be; maybe she wears an indigo tunic and carries a dagger. This turned into a running gag and, eventually, this non-player character.
Special Notes: Kuwani's "TongueSpeak Ring" allows her to communicate with virtually any living creature (No, she can't speak "Lich"!). Due to a quirk, the Ring is not affected by acid of any type and cures/bestows color-blindness.
