(Rough Draft No. 01) Please note that most of what is cotained withing was created before I saw either Star Wars or Star Trek, or at least before I saw any of the technial info. I have however been an avid reader of sutch authors as Isaac Asimov and Anne McCaffrey, so they may have has an imapct. You'll have to excuse the writeing style, this is infact the first time I have written anything dealing with TPL's technology in genrel to this depth. This took quite some time to write, for while Chipper and Tom(or was it John) both had somthing to work from name there respeive shows however I have been working purely from memory and theories that have been some four years in the makeing and with lots of revision over that time with no hard copy to keep track of the changes. Any comments are greatly apresiated, TPL can allways use some help. *HAND WEAPONS:* TPL has three types 'hand' weapons. The first of these is the Univerial-Distigartor, the name is kind of misleading as it has many other functions. The disntigrator mode is basicly just a hyped up disruptor, but it workes on a sub-atomic level. It 'orders' the atoms of the target to break the bonds by useing the 'housekeeping channel' of the universe. (And I an NOT going to explain, just belive me that it's instanious) It also has a 'stun' mode and like all the rest of TPL's technology can be eisely modifted/reprogamed. The second is his's 'Dart Gun', one of the few things of TPL's that works on relativty 'low-tech' prencibles, as it's name suggests it fires darts, these come in three main types; 1) Nova Darts. Turns large objects (like planets) into a rageing infurno, however it's not realy and explosive as the final fire-ball is the same size as the original object. (for emergicy lighting, just fire one of these at a small moon :) There is also a 'lite' version, for things like buildings, Zoanoids and small ships. 2) Nova seeding darts. Theses need a sun to start but have a mutch bigger effect, the more power the sun has in it (ie. The younger it is) the biggest the resulting explosion. They also work if fired up the tail-pipe of a starship while the enine is running. 3) Delivior dart. This is basicly the same as a normal dart, can be filled with any sort of liqied and because the contence is kept in status won't go off. The gun it's self uses 'energy explosives' that insted of iseing a chemical explosives caues the explosion by reliceing a large ammount of energy from a force-bubble. The darts themselvs have a 'smart' system abord, that lockes onto whatever is in its sights at the time of fireing, they also have small engines, ion drives so that can folow moveing objects and get from a planet's surface to satalites and ships in orbit. The third is TPL's Srink ray. I guess this dosen't mutch eplaining... :) Can srink a human down to about the size of an up-quark and can enlarge to a similer drgree. One fairly unique function of the Ray is the 'restore' feature that srinks/grows the object to it's 'default' size, even if it wasn't srunk by this ray gun. -Electro-blades. (Need editing) There is one other The Marbles: These are a sphere of TMMK5 matrix mesh. They are usually clear and are full of a blueish, whitish light. Around the center of the sphere is a bright red band, with a series of numbers, denoting the explosion size, force, ect. Some of the most common powers are: 1 meter, 10 meter, 500 meter, 1km, and 100km, blast radiuses. The most powerful one made to date has an approximate blast radius of 5000 light years, never used. The matrix of the spheres is constructed in such a way that it is detonated by an impact from one side only (eg. throwing or dropping.) If equal (or close to) pressure is applied to opposite sides of the sphere (eg. crushing in a vice) the matrix will hold, and the sphere won't detonate. *SHIPS WEAPONS:* This section is more like a 'posible ship weapons', as TPL's only 'ships' are his Space-scooter and his 'magic' bus. Both of these aren't realy designed with fighting in mind. The TPL's main converter beam is based on his planet, but smaller version could be fittted to a ship. Same applies with the misiles, but more care has to be taken with ther use. The way TPL normaly distroys things from long range is to use 'the main dish' this is a parabolic dish about 10m across, for this tiny dish however is just the 'final focus' part, the rest is the planet's main shields themselvs, which focues the beam from the dish on the planet's surface into a time-jump point to go anywere it's needed in the mulit-verse. This matter to energy conversion process is one of TPL's oldest technologies, he deveoped the fisrst version of this when he started to build his planet from the original astroid. This beam like weapon is probaly one of the best types of long range way of dealing with enimies, as the device brings back both the energy from the target and also all infomason on how the target was constructed to a sub-quark level, this can be used to transport large objects around by first moveing it into energy storage then by moveing and converting the energy back to the original object. Because it uses time-jump tecnology it can also by-pass shields or simply consume the shields as more energy. -Anti-plasma misiles (This is taken from a doco that a friend of mine and I wrote, it's closer to a 'ship' weopon than a 'hand' weapon, mainly because it requires a seprite power system.) 9. Shockwave Cannon Located on an apparatus on the right shoulder of the Dreadnought Armor. This Cannon allows the Dreadnought to generate Shockwaves, similar to the Shockwave from a nuclear blast. The intensity of the Shockwave is adjustable, from a barely detectable tap, to the kind of level akin to a Planet Buster(tm)! All settings are controlled via the Dreadnought's Computer. When fired it produces what can only be described as a moving force 'wall' of... *ooomph!*, and the Dreadnought can control the height of the 'wall'. The impact itself is similar in feel (depending on the settings) to being flung at high velocity into a brick wall. Included in the various settings is an Overdrive Mode. This Mode basicly sets the Cannon to beyond its maximum power. The Dreadnought should NOT use this mode UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY! Use of this mode will not only cause massive damage to the fabric of time/space, but will also cause massive damage to the Shockwave Cannon, which the Dreadnought will be unable to repair. *DEFENSE:* TPL's intire planet is srounded by a powerfull force-field/shield, this was set up as the main defence system for the Dragon Planet, it is created from six projectors set around the planet, by the interaction and power diffrences between these six the computer controlling the field is capible of changeing it propities for a close to infinate amount of points on the field's surface. All six of the projectors are syncronised acturatly anough and have enough resurse power to make the shields fully disruption proof. The shield has a secondary function, the field is infact made from three layers, the center one being the protective shields, the outer and inner layers are both sensor arrays, the outer sensor has the capibility to keep track of every atom bigger that hydrogen in the intire universe that the planet is currently in, when focused it is capobles of watching and area the aproximate size of the milky way down to sub-quark level. -Notes on shield exclusion systems. *INTERSTELLAR TRAVEL:* Time-Jump engine. Teleporter-Doorway. Time-Jump Transceiver: This device basically provides a communication link between any two points in time/space. It uses a reverse time-field diffraction process coupled with a basic photon/anti-photon transceiver. The time delay between the two ends can go down to minus three micro-seconds and go up to zero delay. This device looks like a double thickness five cent coin, normally colored black, or candy-striped. Extending from the top edge is a thin anti-proton transmission fiber connecting to the Computer and/or other data processing equipment. The only other protrusion is a small red LED in the top center of the device. Another function of this device is the capacity to transmit/receive vast quantities of energy, therefore effectively connecting the equipment via an 'extension lead' to, for example, the Complex's main energy systems. *ROBOTS:* The dragon Planet planet has only one main type of robot, the Maintenance bots. These are about 1/2 meter across and look like a daddy-longlegs spider with an over sized body and to many legs. Eatch of these are 100% independant and have there own persionaties some of witch are quite mischeious. They have an enormas range of tools, a mini converter beam for manufacting items and a atomic cutter. All the 'bots are linked back to the complex's main computer network and have full acess to TPL's VAST collection of technical plans for allmost every type device in creasion. There are a few million scuttleing around the dragon planet repairing, constructing and dismantleing. TPL however has built and epermetal holo-bot, one that's completly indipendent. Known as DNA Master(Because of it's intrest in Bio-Orgainics) and if the chariter of Furrball(My IRL Bro.). *MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY:* TPL has some medical technology, number one of these are the Teleporter-Doorways. As when you travel via them you are converted to energy and data and not just to atoms like the ST transporter it's quite a simple process to chanel the data part of the teleported person theough a computer system. This computer runs basicly a complete diagnostics and repair program -Medical supa-glue The Maintenance robots also can use there tools for medical purpous, as some of there reair work is at sub-atomic levels and also on bio technology they are qite capible of carrying out most forms of human/dragon/rodent repair, also because that have acess to th archives can get info on whatever they are repairing. They also give the greatest masarges, useing a gravity tool that take the place of a hammer. *COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY:* (These folowing three devices are also taken out of the same doco as the above Shockwave cannon. The folowing modules are linked together to form the computer, normaly four Infinitive Processors and two Infinitive Memory Modules to every 3D Processor, but this can be changed to suite the situasion.) First Generation MK.1 3D Processor: To put it simply, 15 cubic milimetres of mind-boggling processing power. The basic idea behind this device is to have instead of a 2-D textural based language, a 3-D multi-faced programming environment/language. The simplest form is based on a cube with the outer faces as the 'base' for the program, with the sub-routines and related code 'growing' inwards. This allows for a huge amount of interaction between the lines of code, and also allows for the program to have the ability to change its own code within the confines of the program 'base'. The MK.1'S maximum complexity is a dodecahedron, which is implemented in basically the same way as the cube based code, but with a lot more complexity and interaction. The only limitation to the program is the amount of memory available to the processor. (Note: The Mk.2 is capible of use a full sphere, and so can be infinately complex.) Infinitive Processor: This device is not a processor as as far as running programs. It is simply a calculating device, and it is simple in its operation. The user/computer inputs a formula and/or raw data and the answer/product will immediately be given. An Infinitive Processor is mainly used in conjunction with a device such as a 3-D Processor, to free the processor of calculating tasks. It is advised not to input a formula with an infinitive output such as one for calculating Pi. Although it will calculate it, the output will be infinite, and therefore will clog up the output lines until a reset is signaled. Infinitive Memory Module: This device sucks, quite literally, your data into a neverending storage matrix. The data, once placed, will last on average 10 to the power of 347 quadzillion years without power before decaying. The data can be retrieved at any time. Average access time is 10 to the power of -150,000 picoseconds. The infinitive storage space is created by utilizing a mandelbrot set fractal, which is infinite in its complexity, as the basic storage matrix. During the construction process the memory unit is folded using a time/space discontinuation method into itself until the inside is on the outside, dip in a 50-50 mix of paradox and pureed singularity and the device is complete. (Note: These DO have a theriocal limit, eventualy the mandelbrot set will be to small to store data on reliably, that's why two are normaly used. The pern dragons have Telepathy between them and there riders. The earth dragons also have Telepathy in versing dregrees depending on race and breed. *SIDEKICKS:* One one springs to mind with TPL, and that's Electa, the probiry the most michevious fire-lizaed on the planet. :)
