Thanks for choosing to swim in my phishy bowl of phishy wisdom. Phish is an unpredictable band that plays a WIDE variety of music, from latin to bluegrass and always with an element of improv., making each and every show different and unique in it's own way. Phish is made up of four creative characters from Burlington, Vermont. Trey Anastasio (guitar), Jon Fishman (drums, vaccum), Mike Gordon (bass), and Page McConnell (keyboards). I enjoy going to Phish shows and hearing the band play live. I ended up seeing them play 54 times. It was an experience that I would have encouraged all to give a whirl. Phish has finally broken up after about 17 years on the road playing for millions of fans. I would suggest taking a look at my Phish links, and if you are really interested in getting up to date on Phish's happenings, subscribe to their newsletter that offers unreleased albums and advance mail-order tickets, at " Doniac Schvice, p.o. box 4400 Burlington, VT 05406-4400. (havent got one since the hiatus though... or did I??:)

Phish credits it's popularity not to commerialism or radio(ala: Weezer, NSYNC)but rather to the good old "word of mouth" technique. They encourage taping and tape trading of live shows. I mean how many concerts have you ever been to where there is a taper section full of towers of mic's? None of the bands that are being shoved down your throat by radio or MTV I can assure you.
