Mary Richards(Mary Tyler Moore) has to be one of the most likable characters in TV history. She would do anything for her best friend, Rhoda Morgenstern(Valerie Harper) and put her friends before her. Her boss, Lou Grant(Ed Asner) had a rough exteriour, but deep down, he would do anything for Mary. Her co-worker, Murray,(Gavin Mcleod) was a very loyal friend to Mary and even when proposed Mary's job, he refused for Mary's friendship was greater. Their other co-worker, Ted Baxter,(Ted Knight) was somewhat different. He was very much an idiot and usually did the wrong thing. Which is about as much as I can say about Sue Ann Nevins(Betty White). Although, in selected episodes, they both have shown their worth.
