Three-Horned Loper

A Darklands Animal Predator

The Three-Horned Loper is one of the most dangerous predators in the Darklands, and is the only one that has been known to have left the region and begun threatening other regions. This creature, like all ones native to the Darklands, feeds on P.P.E. and as such is lethal to any Practitioner of Magic.

The Loper's long and heavily muscled legs enable it to run at a speed that can chase down a running human being in seconds. It's usual combat manoeuvre is to pin the victim down with the two wide-set horns, then, once the victim is braced. It uses the third, centrally located horn to gouge it's victim to death in an attempt to double the amount of P.P.E. for the purpose of draining.

Ler-Sa

People of the Third Race

The history of the Ler-sa is a very old one, as old as the Underland itself, or at least so the story goes. Some have said that the Ler-sa were created by the Lemarians as slaves, who then rebelled, some say that they are still in the service of the Lemarians, while others believe that they were a mercenaries race hired by the Lemarians before they disappeared after the brotherhood war. The truth is a lot less complicated, the current population are descendants of a nomadic tribe calling themselves the people of the third race, who for exchange of knowledge and a permanent home land gave the Lemarians themselves in servitude, thus setting themselves up into a position of a slave race.

This situation remained in place for over 30,000 years until they began to rebel. The Lemarians had the power to quash any revolution, but the Brotherhood wars had just began. Instead of fighting their own slaves as well as any attack to themselves by either the White or Black brotherhoods, they just left, leaving behind many items of machinery that became the basis of all current Underland technology.

The time that the Ler-sa spent in slavery has instilled in to them a strong need for freedom. As such will not alley themselves, as a group, with a non Ler-sa unless it was to ensure their continuing freedom, although Individuals may place themselves in to service of a non Ler-sa for their own purposes.

The Ler-sa are a gorilla like race with four arms, three eyes (the third being in the middle of the forehead) and are an egg laying mammal.. The Ler-sa mate for life with a female laying 1D3 eggs which hatch within 8 months. They are a social race who have established cities and towns all across the Underland, some have returned to their nomadic tradition with a tribe consisting of about 30 to 40 individuals.

Average Life Span: Approximately 90 years.
Appearance: They look like a version of the earth gorillas with four arms, the second pair just below the armpits, and three eyes arranged in a triangular pattern. Very broad frame as well as extended canine teeth on the lower jaw.
P.P.E.: Permanent base of 1D6+4 plus those of the characters O.C.C.
I.S.P.: None, the Lemarians ensured that there would be no chance of any psychic developing while they were slaves and as such a Ler-sa can not be a O.C.C that has any psychic abilities.
Natural Abilities: prehensile feet (act like hands) plus four arms give the Ler-sa +25% climb rope, +15% sense of balance, +10% back flip, +10% walk tightrope, all combat bonus due to the four arms are listed in the combat section. The tri-ocular system of the Ler-sa give them a +5 bonus with any projectile weapon as well as +10% to any navigation done by sight alone, any thing that interfere with the three eye arrangement (injuries, sensors designed for two eyes) negate these benefits. A Ler-sa who loses sight in any eye due to injury or spell suffers the same penalty as do beings who only had two eyes to start with
Combat: Four Hand to Hand attacks plus any extras from skills and O.C.C.

Ker`serat

Leader of the Twelve Serpents

Alignment: Scrupulous.

Size: 37 feet tall (12.2 m), 76 feet (23 m) long, 124 feet (37.8 m).
Weight: 33 tons.
Horror Factor: 19.
M.D.C.: 22,500.
Age: 30,542 years, active for almost all of them.
Appearance: (Dragon) Ker`serat is an imposing figure, even for a Great Horned dragon, towering over 12 meters with a wing span exceeding 37 meters; piercing purple eyes look through you from a visage that is at best terrifying. His heavily muscled frame is covered by iridescent amber scales which have a faint metallic gleam.
(Human) Ker`serat prefers to appear an a human male, in his mid to late 60's, with long grey hair streaked with amber, and piercing purple eyes. He speaks with an odd accent, vaguely reminiscent of a Mid-European community. He carries a long black staff with him that, when he is teaching, he manifests into a sword to dramatically impress a point.
P.P.E.: 3800.
I.S.P.: 490, Ker`serat has all sensitive, physical, and healing psi-powers, bio-manipulation, psi-sword, telekinesis and telekinetic force field from the super category.
Natural Abilities: Nightvision 100ft (30.5 m; can see in total darkness), excellent colour vision, see invisible, turn invisible at will, bio-regeneration 1D4 X 10 M.D. per minute, resistant to fire and cold (does half damage, including M.D. magic fire and plasma energy), teleport self 98%, dimensional teleport 76%, and metamorphosis at will (last until Ker`serat decides to change back)
Combat: Eight physical attacks per melee, or four fire breath and four physical, or three by magic. Prefers to use magic.
