Chris : And look at the handwriting. It’s gorgeous.
Adam : Is that copperplate, that handwriting?
Chris : Yeah, I think so. I wouldn’t mind showing it to a few kids these days, you know. They just don’t teach proper penmanship these days.
Adam : So old fashioned!
Chris : Thank you very much!
In Tom’s Office, discussing the believability of the diary…….
PJ : Well, well, it reads like a historical romance you know…….not that I’ve ever read one
In the Interview Room, questioning Charlie Clarke over the disappearance of his wife, the Minister for War, and Daryl, the man who his wife is apparently having an affair with……
Charlie : Look our fights are not like a heavyweight boxing match. You know, dance around a bit, bite of an ear or two and they’re all over. It’s, our fights are, they’re of epic proportions, you know. Except I don’t remember the ending of this one.
In the Pub, Maggie and PJ discussing Charlie getting to get back with his wife…..
Maggie : As you said, he is lucky to have somebody who cares to go to so much trouble…..What are you thinking about?
PJ : I’d rather be single
Maggie : Really? Could be very dangerous
PJ : Dangerous?!
Maggie : Mmm, somebody like me could take you on
PJ : Right, pretty tough huh?
Maggie : You would be an absolute pushover
PJ : I reckon I could handle you
Maggie : We’ll see about that…….My place?
PJ : Yep…’Night
Maggie : ‘Night.
(they leave……..)
It is ironic that Maggie tells PJ that "We’ll see" at the end of this episode because at the very beginning of A Woman’s Place (pilot), she told him that "we’ll see" when PJ offered to buy her a drink. It seems that he may be giving her a little more than a drink now, five years down the track …….
