Backstage, her second consecutive Gold Logie cradled in her arms, an emotional Lisa McCune described the TV WEEK Logie Awards as the "applause you never hear".
Moments before, she was choking back tears as she received her Gold Logie from former TV WEEK Logie Hall of Fame inductee Charles "Bud" Tingwell.
"Can I just say what an honour it is to receive this award from Bud Tingwell," Lisa said, before praising her co-stars and crew.
She also paid tribute to some of the other Australian drama series nominated this year.
"We really kick butt in the country with police shows like Blue Heelers, Water Rats and Wildside," she said.
"I'd really like to thank my partner, Tim Disney."
Lisa was genuinely shocked to have won again, saying she thought Kerri-Anne Kennerly "had it in the bag."
She spoke of the many great friends and family who support her, adding she was now in the market for a special display cabinet to house her growing Logies collection.
Before she headed back to her table, there was a special congratulations and a kiss from Friends star Matt Le Blanc.
"He (Matt) was really lovely," Lisa said.
Matt looked well recovered from his recent bout of the flu, but was nonetheless exhausted backstage after the big event.
He was particularly gracious to Lisa.
"This is your night, congratulations," he told her.
Matt said he felt privileged to be presenting awards at the TV WEEK Logies.
He made a point of viewing each of the shows he read out nominations for.
On stage, he received a huge round of applause when he praised the Australian television industry.
"Having been given the chance to be here at the Logies this year, it's given me the chance to expand my knowledge of Australian culture - and I'd just like to say that Australian TV rocks!"
