PJ : I’ll, uh, take this one Nick.
Nick : Just make sure she’s not married this time, mate.
(PJ walks over to the little red car maggie is driving)
PJ : Good afternoon
Maggie : Good afternoon
PJ : Blow in the tube please, Miss
Maggie : Since when did detectives mix with highway patrol?
PJ : (airily) Who says I’m a detective?
Maggie : Where I come from uniforms don’t mix much with plain clothes (she blows in the tube)
PJ : Uh, looks like we gotta police groupie here Nick. Might have to discuss it with her over a cup of coffee (Maggie gives her ‘Oh my God’ look). (looks at reading) Yeah, you’re all clear Miss. I’m, uh, PJ
Maggie : (shows her badge) Constable Maggie Doyle. And who am I talking to?
PJ : (embarrassed laugh) Detective Senior Constable PJ Hasham. Sorry Constable, thought you were a girl, uh, a woman, you know what I mean (looks at Nick, embarrassed). This is Senior Constable Nick Schultz, Constable Maggie Doyle.
Nick : White van. We’ll have him
PJ : You staying at the Pub tonight?
Maggie : Uh huh.
PJ : I’ll buy you a drink tonight, eh?
Maggie : We’ll see….
