Exposed to Transwarp waves during the Quantum Surge, Waverider was reconfigured into a leaner and meaner underwater fighting machine. With enhanced agility, physical capability and intelligence, Waverider is an even greater threat to Predacon undersea operations than before. Making use of rail technology, Waverider uses a smaller rail gun similar to the one used by Whale Convoy. While of a considerably smaller calibre, this rail pistol is more wieldly and boasts a higher magazine capacity and rate of fire for close combat encounters. It still ladles out generous portions of damage to half-witted Preds in Waverider's hands, more than making up for reduction in power and range. With Depth Charge taking the reins of overall command of Maximal naval operations, Waverider has taken on the role of tactical officer in the field, leading Maximal warriors into the murky depths to thwart ruthless Predacon Energon harvesting. Upgraded and improved, Waverider will change the waters for Predacons till the end of the Beast Wars.


WEAPONS
Using Cybertronian rail gun technology used also by Whale Convoy, Waverider wields a rail pistol in battle. While seemingly less dangerous, this deceptively small gun is by no means less deadly. Quick projection of rounds ensures a definite hit even against the most agile Predacons underwater, making this gun hard to avoid. While considerably faster in rate of fire, this pistol still fires slowly compared to an automatic weapon and it has heavy ammo constraints, though the Spark crystal on the fragment allows Waverider to use the gun as a laser pistol.
