The truth can now be told about Nancy Lee Grahn's worse heart-and-flowers day. It happened years ago, after her breakup with former beau, San Behrens (Gregory, Sunset Beach). "I can say this because Sam, his wife, Shari Belafonte and I are all very good friends now," Nancy prefaces. "For some ungodly realson I was getting a root canal on Valentine's Day. Sam and I had broken up maybe 5 months earlier, and I was still heartsick. So getting a root canal seemed appropriate for how I felt, I guess."

Before starting, Nancy's dentist told her to relax and handed her a magazine. "On the cover was Sam getting this big kiss from Shari," Nancy recalls. "I told the dentist: 'Just kill me. Give me the gas and don't stop.' I know Sam will appreciate this story."
