Back in Montana, we always had these huge turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner. I don't know how most people store their leftover bird, but we put it in the extra bedroom - my old room. It was just too big to fit in the refrigerator. My mother would wrap up the turkey in there on a dresser. With both windows open, it would get very cold. That's where the turkey would refrigerate for the night. The next day, we'd cut the turkey and eat it. Whenever I tell people about it, they always go, "What??"
