The school incident bothers me more and more.

This homophobia.

Why is it that people are so afraid of "other"? Why is anyone's way of loving anyone else's business?

And even if they believe it's wrong in the eyes of God(presumptuous as that is), what about compassion, what about empathy? What happened to "let he who is without sin," ect?

"They brought it on themselves" is what the devil-lady and her friends say. Oh, right. So how come we don't judge and reject people with cancer or emphysema from smoking, or people with heart disease from gumming up their arteries with fat, or, for that matter, people who drown from swimming out too far???

How dare anyone, ANYONE, dismiss a whole segment of society, disregard massive suffering, loss, pain? Hate must be a major anesthetic.

But suppose, just suppose, God sent this thing in this way to test our compassion, our humanity, or charity?

Some people are going to be in big trouble.
