Peter convinces Jennifer to leave for Aremid right away.  Jack is devastated.  Jennifer feels bad for Jack but feels she has to do this for Peter.  Jack says a tearful goodbye to Sarah and has a bittersweet goodbye with Jennifer.  Hope comforts Jack and stumbles across the Aremid graveyard tape.  Hope and Jack take the tape to the studio in hope of restoring the sound.

Jennifer, Peter and Sarah arrive in Aremid.  Jennifer is spooked in the house when her candle is blown out but she is determined not to be afraid.  She locks herself in the bedroom and takes a nap while Peter goes to the pub for lunch.  Little do they know that the Lady in White is lurking around every corner.  In Salem,  Jack and Hope hear the Lady on the tape after some
sound editing and Jack slyly manipulates his boss, Arnie, into sending him to Aremid for the story. Jack wastes no time and leaves for Aremid.

Jennifer dreams about being alone in a foggy Aremid graveyard.  Both Jack and Peter call out to her and she is torn.  She ultimately chooses Peter but then the Lady in White appears and attempts to strangle her. However, this is not a dream as Jen wakes to find the Lady with her hands around Jen's throat.  Peter and Sarah arrive to Jen's pleas for help but the door is locked. Jack is chilled when he arrives to hear Jennifer screaming.  He teams with Peter and they break down the door and find Jennifer alone and unnerved.  Peter believes it was all a dream.  Jack is skeptical but Jennifer is upset that Jack is in town.  She takes Peter's side but will let Jack do his job.  Once alone, Jen discovers bruises on her neck!

Peter has another explanation for the bruises.  Jen made them herself in a dream state.  Jennifer disagrees but doesn't care to argue.  She convinces Peter to take her to dinner at the pub.  At the Red Dragon Inn, Jack notices that Jennifer is alone, when Peter leaves momentarily. He takes a seat across from her.  He pleads with her to remember their love. Here is an excerpt from their conversation:

Jack -- How are you feeling?

Jennifer -- I'm fine.

Jack -- Are you sure? You had quite a scare there.

Jennifer -- I'm fine. Really. And I'd appreciate it if you didn't hang around me anymore Jack. It's bad enough that you came her to barge in on our wedding.

Jack -- I told you, Arnie sent me here to cover it for the show.

Jennifer -- It wasn't Arnie. It was your idea. I know you too well, Jack.

Jack -- I know you too. I know you better than Peter does. We shared a lot of years of happiness together. We had a beautiful little girl. Remember how happy you were when she was born?

Jennifer -- You know what Jack, don't start this right now.

Jack -- If you just believed in us, we could have it all again. I swear I can make you happy. Jen, I love you so much. Just give me a chance to prove it. I know you never stopped loving me.

Just when it looks as though Jen is coming around, Peter comes up from behind and pulls Jack out of his chair. A brawl is narrowly avoided. During dinner, Jen watches Jack intensely. Perhaps he has gotten through to her.  When Peter has her imagine their romantic honeymoon on the beach, she conjures up a very glad Jack with a glass of champagne.  Her day dreaming is interrupted by shaken Sarah who has entered the pub with a ripped skirt.  All she can say is "the Lady in White."  Jack, Jennifer and Peter decide to search the township themselves.  The three of them separate and Jack and Peter are horrified to hear Jennifer scream.  Has the Lady in White attacked?

Peter and Jack bicker as Jennifer is missing.  Sarah plays referee. The men call a truce until Jen is found.  Peter calls the state police who will do nothing for twenty four hours.  He then gets a call from Laura.  A worried Laura and Mike head to Aremid to help in the search.  Meanwhile, Jen is semi- conscious in a cave.  The Lady in White is closer than Jennifer knows.  When Laura arrives she looks to Jack for comfort. She and Jack discuss their affair.  Suddenly Peter calls out, "What affair, Jack?"  Laura and Jack are taken aback, to say the least.
