This episode summary was transcribed by Salem. It involves two episodes from November 7 & 8, 1995 that had some great dialogue between Jack and Jen. The episodes involve Jack confronting Jen and interrupting the wedding rehearsal...

Jack has just found Jennifer on the beach. Peter and Mike are also there and the men are frantic with worry. Jack is cradling Jen's body.

Jack -- Come on Jen. Come on Jen. Wake up. Wake Up. Jennifer, my love. Don't leave me now, don't leave me now Jen.

Peter -- Watch out. Jen it's Peter. Can you hear me?

Peter rushes forward to take over for Jack. Laura and Sarah show up but Mike assures them that she is alive but probably in shock. Peter lifts Jen up. She is still out of it but . .

Jennifer -- Oh Jack.

They get Jen back to Peter's place where she warms up and gets a clean bill of health. But she is having memory problems. She can't remember what happened.

Jennifer -- I was in a cave and there was so much water everywhere. Wait, there was someone there with me in the cave.

Peter -- Who?

Jennifer -- It was Jack!

She looks at him and he is stunned. They slowly question her about the cave. She is still very confused.

Jack -- Why did you think that I was there?

Jennifer -- Because you were there.

Laura -- I think that you are still just a little confused.

Jen insists that someone was there with her and the group begins to argue as it is suggested that the Lady in White could have something to do with it. Peter won't hear it and Mike has to interrupt the quarrel as Jen is getting upset. Peter and Jen leave to go sit by the fire. Jack and Laura have a talk and at this point Mike overhears that they had the affair at the Meadows. Mike is shocked but will not tell Jennifer.

Later, Jack catches Jen alone in the living room. He jumps the couch.

Jennifer -- Jack, the couch.

Jack -- I'm sorry. I need to talk to you. It's urgent.

Jennifer -- Alright Jack. So tell me what could be so urgent.

Jack -- Well, I just didn't want Peter coming in here and interrupting us before I said what I have to say. Listen Jen, I know why you were dreaming about me in that cave. I know why you called out my name when we found you.

Jennifer -- I didn't know what I was saying in that cave.

Jack -- Yes, you did. And I think in your heart you know. You still love me. You still want me. This is the proof, Jen. Can you really deny it?

(November 8, 1995)

Jennifer -- You have an absolute talent for making something out of nothing.

She gets up and walks towards the door. She is still dressed in a nightgown and robe. Jack follows. Sarah is eavesdropping.

Jack -- Jennifer, you are avoiding the question. You can't deny it. You still love me.

Jennifer -- I love Peter.

Jack -- It's not the same as the way you loved me.

Jennifer -- You are right, Jack. It's not the same. What I feel for Peter is different from what I have ever felt before. That's why I'm going to marry him and I'm going to spend the rest of my life with him.

Jack -- When we found you on the beach, why did you call out for me?

Jennifer -- I fell! Okay. I fell and I was confused. I was disoriented and that's why I was thinking about the past so just drop it, alright.

Peter interrupts with news that they will be ready for the rehearsal soon. Peter suggests postponing the rehearsal but Jen insists on going ahead with the wedding rehearsal. The reverend arrives and greets Jennifer. Jack has obviously gotten to her. As she is talking about the impending nuptials she has flashes of calling out for Jack. She is shaken and wants time to be alone.

Jack is feeling more upbeat and confides in Laura that he thinks Jen won't be able to go ahead with the wedding. Mike promises he won't tell the secret, but his is nonetheless upset.

Peter checks in on Jen and she tells him that she feels guilty for calling out for Jack. Peter assures her that her mind was playing tricks on her. After he leaves Jennifer finds Jack's poem in her coat pocket. She re-reads it.

My heart aches. And a numbness dulls my mind. Jennifer, my love, is gone. And I am left forlorn. With an emptiness, a void which love once filled to overflowing. My Jennifer, my love, my life.

Jennifer -- Oh Jack.

She pulls the poem in close to her chest. Sarah has seen this and confronts her on her feelings for Jack but Jen insists that Jack is her past and Peter is her future. Peter overhears this and decides it time to take action. He leaves to call Jude. In the meantime Jennifer has dressed and is working on wedding plans when Jack catches her alone on the couch.

Jack -- Uh, Jennifer.

Jennifer -- Uh I'm really busy right now, Jack.

Jack -- This won't take long. I just wanted to tell you how glad I am that, uh, you are alright.

He sits down next to her.

Jennifer -- Thank you. And thanks to everyone who looked for me.

Jack -- You know, I could do a lot more for you, if you let me.

Jennifer -- Look, there are a lot of things that I need to take care of before this rehearsal.

Jack -- And how are you going to have this rehearsal without the bridegroom. Where is Peter anyway?

Jennifer -- He is taking care of something very important, Jack.

Jack -- I find it hard to believe that there would be anything more important than his wedding. But then again that's Peter Blake. The man has secrets.

Jennifer -- (she is getting upset and looks into his eyes) Don't do this. Listen to me, don't do this.

Jack -- If you knew what those secrets were, you'd realize what I've been telling you all along. That man is no good. He's the last man on earth you should marry.

Jennifer -- Listen, I think that I know Peter a lot better than you do.

Jack -- And I think you know that marrying Peter is a big mistake. I just hope that you realize it in time.

Jennifer -- Why do you have to do this? Why do you have to try to upset me like this, Jack?

Jack -- (he is defensive yet assertive) I'm not trying to upset you, Jennifer. Especially after what's happened to you. But I can't just keep silent about this. I'm running out of time and you actually think that you are in love with Peter.

Jennifer -- I do love Peter! Why would I marry a man that I don't love?

Jack -- Okay, I'll concede. You think that you are in love with Peter. But not the way that you loved me.

Jennifer -- (she is amused) You know, you really have not heard one word that I have said the last few months, have you? Well, like they say, actions speak louder than words.

Jack -- What are you going to do?

Jennifer -- I would really like for you to come to the wedding rehearsal.

Jack -- Oh, I thought that I wasn't invited to the big wedding.

Jennifer -- You're not. That's why I want you to come to the rehearsal. I want you to see how much that I love Peter and how wrong you are.

Jack -- (he is confident) Okay. I'll stay. But where's the bridegroom? How are they going to have a rehearsal without the bridegroom? There must be something very, very important that Peter is attending to. I know that if I was marrying you, I would not leave your side.

Jennifer -- (she looks away) That's interesting. Cause you did once. (looks back at him) AFTER you married me.

Jack -- So, you are marrying someone to prove a point to me.

Jennifer -- That is not what I am doing, you know that.

Jack -- But you just said that you want to prove to me that I am wrong about Peter. That is not a reason to marry a man, Jennifer. The only reason should be that you love him as much as you loved me the day that we were married. Can you really say that you love him that way.

Jennifer stares into his eyes. It's as though she wants to agree with him but she also doesn't want to give in.

Jennifer -- I am not going to compare my feelings for Peter with the feelings that I once had for you because that is the past. And it has nothing to do with the present.

Jack -- (calmly) It has everything to do with the present, Jennifer. We once shared the kind of love that never dies.

Jennifer -- I'm marrying Peter.

Jack -- You may think that you are going to marry Peter, but when it comes down to saying 'I do', you won't be able to do it.

Peter returns.

Jennifer -- Alright, Peter is back. There is only one way to convince you.

Peter, Kristen, the reverend, Laura and Mike enter the living room. Jennifer rushes up to kiss Peter. Jack is jealous of Jen's affection towards Peter. Jack and Peter glare at eachother from across the room. The reverend just wants to run through the vows. Jack situates himself in the doorway.

The Reverend -- We are gathered together to witness . . . Jennifer will you take this man to be your husband. To live together after God's holy ordinance. Will you live him, honour him, comfort him, forsaking all others as long as you both shall live.

Jennifer is about to say 'I do' when Jack interrupts.

Jack -- Wai . .. hold on. This, it has to stop.

Everyone turns and looks at Jack. Jennifer looks at him but she doesn't look upset. In fact, she looks worried. She turns to look back at Peter, who is livid. Jack just looks desperate to make Jennifer realize what is really in her heart. Before it's too late.
