These scenes took place very early in 1995. Jennifer was driving alone in her car -- or so she thought. Jack had stowed away in the backseat of the car. When he made his presence known to Jennifer, it stunned her and she drove off the road. There was a snow blizzard at the time. Jack went off alone to get some help while Jennifer waited in the car for him. Getting worried, she left the car and wandered around in the snow blizzard by herself. She eventually wasn't able to handle the cold and collapsed unconscious in the snow. Jack found her and brought her to safety in a cave. There, he started a fire and took care of Jennifer. He took off her wet clothes and got her warm underneath a blanket. Jennifer wakes up from her unconscious
state and finds Jack sitting next to her. She is delirious and it brings her back to the past when she and Jack were in a similar cave before. This is what happens...
Jenn - I want you so much.
Jack - Jennifer...
Jenn - What? Don't you want to make love to me?
Jack - More than anything in the world. But do you really mean it? Do you really want me?
Jenn - There's never been anybody but you Jack
Jack - (looking a little stunned) I love you so much.
Jenn - I love you too.
[Jack looks really shocked that she is actually saying those words]

[Jack's shirt is now unbuttoned and fully opened. He is running his hand up Jennifer's arm]
Jack - Jennifer... You feel so good.
Jenn - I'm so glad I saved myself for you. I'm so glad you'll be the first.
[Jack looks confused and he puts his hand on Jenn's forehead]
Jack - Oh my god. You're delirious with fever. You don't know what you're saying, do you?
Jenn - I love you so much.
[Jack stands up]
Jenn - (concerned) Jack, where are you going?!
Jack - No, this isn't right. I can't take advantage of you like this.
Jenn - Jack, come back to bed. Please come back to bed.
Jack - No. (but the way he says it, you know he wants to)
Jenn - Please make love to me.
Jack - It's not right.
Jenn - I just want you. I want you next to me.
[Jenn takes Jack's hand and starts pulling him closer to her. Jack does slowly come closer.]
Jenn - Please. It is right. Come here. I want you to hold me.
[Jenn puts her head on Jack's chest. He's still trying to stay back but then he gives in]
Jack - I'll hold you. But that's it.
[Jack now puts his arms around her and kisses her on the cheek, then on the forehead.]

Jenn - I am so cold. I'm so cold.
[Jack's pulling the covers tighter around her trying to keep her warm.]
Jack - (comforting her) Shhhh. Here. I've gotcha.
[He leans towards her and realizes her temperature's still up.]
Jack - You're burning up. Here. Take a drink of this.
[Jack holds a cup to Jenn's mouth so she can drink (don't ask me where that came from!)]
Jack - There you go. Jennifer, I know that you can't understand anything that I'm telling you right now. But I promise, I'm gonna get you out of this okay?"
Jenn - (feeling very sick) Oh God. Help me.
Jack - Jennifer. I'm sorry for making such a mess of things. I'm sorry for all the pain I've caused you in the past. I'm sorry for leaving you. I'm sorry for this whole custody thing with Abigail but Jennifer (he lays his head next to hers), I have to do it. I'm Abigail's father. And I'm not going to stop until we're a family again. Come here."
[Jack continues to try and keep Jenn warm. His arms are around her and he's stroking her hair. And then Peter walks into the cave and sees this.]
Peter - (quietly) You bastard.
