This episode, from August 13, 1996, was transcribed by Mystic. It features Jack and Sharon's date at a night club. Unfortunately, the beginning and the end got cut off. I know that I missed the very last scene, and I think I missed the first few lines of the very first. But there's still a lot. Here it is...
[Jack and Sharon are sitting at a table, facing each other]
Sharon - I really like you, Jack. And I would like to keep on dating you. But it's obvious your heart isn't in this.
Jack - Look, I'm sorry Sharon. It's not you. You're terrific. It's me. I just don't know if I'm ready to get involved in anything serious right now.
Sharon - [with a knowing look] And I know why. Your ex-wife. You're still in love with Jennifer, aren't you?
[and the look in Jack's eyes says that he is.]
--------------------------------
Jack - Jennifer's married to Peter.
Sharon - I know that. Still, she's a terrific lady. I can understand why you would still be in love with her.
[Jack has a tiny smile, thinking about Jennifer]
Jack - All right. I'm not gonna lie to you, Sharon. I do still have feelings for Jennifer.
[Sharon looks disappointed]
Jack - We have a daughter. It's a bond that's just always gonna be there.
Sharon - I understand that. I just want to know where I stand.
Jack - [he looks at Sharon for awhile] I like you a lot. I enjoy being with you, and I don't want to lead you on. But I just can't say for certain what's gonna happen to us down the road. But... I would like to keep seeing you.
[Sharon smiles]
Sharon - I'd like that too, Jack. And hey, if it doesn't work out, at least we gave it a try right? We had a few good laughs in the process.
Jack - [smiling] Right. [he stares at Sharon with admiration] You're terrific, you know that?
Sharon - [joking] Yeah, I do.
Jack - [laughing] Oh, you do know.
Sharon - Mm hmm. [laughs]
Jack - Well, would you like to dance?
Sharon - Yeah!
Jack - I'll order champagne. If we're gonna enjoy ourselves, we might as well do it right.
Sharon - You never know what might happen.
Jack - Right. You never know.
[Jack gets up and takes Sharon's hand and they go out onto the dance floor. Jack first puts his hands on her waist, and Sharon puts her arms around Jack's neck. Then, I don't know, they realize it's a fast song so they let go of each other and continue dancing. Jack is smiling, and I think he's making an effort to enjoy himself.]
-------------------------------------
[Jack and Sharon are slow dancing (by the way, does Sharon own anything besides mini-dresses?!) Jenn and Peter walk into the club. Jenn sees Jack & Sharon and looks upset.]
Jenn - Jack's here.
Peter - And isn't that Sharon?
Jenn - Yeah. They seem to be spending a lot of time together.
Peter - Does that bother you?
Jenn - [with her fake smile] No! No, I'm glad Jack's getting out. [she pauses] I just don't think Sharon's right for him, that's all]
Peter - Why not? She seems like a nice lady.
Jenn - She's nice! She's nice. I just don't think... I don't think they're right for each other.
[Peter nods, but he's not too happy with what Jenn is saying. A waiter approaches them]
Waiter - Mr. Blake. Your table is ready.
Jenn - You know, Peter, it's so late and it's such a big dinner. Why don't we just go home and relax... (she obviously wants to get out of there so she won't have to see Jack and Sharon together)
Peter - Jenn, we haven't eaten since lunch. I'll tell you what. We'll grab something light. We'll get some hors d'oeuvres at the bar, okay? We have to eat somthing.
Jenn - [hesitates] Okay.
Peter - All right. [to the waiter] We won't need our table.
[Peter and Jenn go sit at the bar. It's kind of funny because Jenn's trying to be subtle and look at Jack and Sharon without Peter noticing. When she finally turns her head to look at them, Jack and Sharon are walking back to their table. Jenn looks really jealous. Peter sees that Jenn is upset but doesn't say anything. Jack and Sharon clink their glasses together and Jenn is still sadly watching.]
Jack - To good times ahead.
Sharon - Never look back.
Jack - That's right. Never look back.
[Jack starts sipping his champagne. He looks up and sees Jenn and is obviously affected by seeing her. Sharon notices Jack looking at someone else, and turns around and sees Jenn. Jack is still looking at Jenn when Sharon gets his attention.]
Sharon - Jack. You're not ready for this.
Jack - No, Sharon, I.....
Sharon - No. I'm right, aren't I?
Jack - [realizing he can't play this game anymore] Yeah. You're right. Who am I kidding?
[Sharon looks at him with disappointment in her eyes. Jack looks back at her with a look that kind of says, "I'm sorry Sharon, but I'll never stop loving Jennifer..."]
----------------------------
[Jenn and Peter are still at the bar. Peter's feeding Jenn those hors d'oeuvres and she's laughing.]
Jack - I'm sorry, Sharon.
Sharon - It's okay, Jack. I can't deny that I wish you felt differently. But I do understand. Hey, I wish you well.
Jack - [smiles] Thanks. I wish you well too. [pauses] Would you like a ride home?
Sharon - Uh, no. Actually, I think I'm gonna stay awhile. You never know.
Jack - [smiling] No, you don't.
Sharon - Hey, how about one last kiss? For old time's sake? (can't blame the girl for trying, right? LOL!)
Jack - Uh... [thinking... then he looks at Sharon and smiles] Okay.
[Jack gets up from his side of the table so he can sit next to Sharon. "Don't move" he says to her. When he's seated next to her, Jack puts his arm around Sharon and they kiss.]
Sharon - Oh, I'm gonna miss that. [Jack looks down] And you.
Jack - You deserve the best, Sharon. You know that? Some guy's gonna be very, very lucky to have you.
[and with that, Jack gets up to leave, but gives Sharon one more kiss on the cheek. Then he leaves.]
Sharon - [now alone, says to herself] I just wish that guy were you, Jack.

The next scene on tape shows Sharon telling Jennifer, as Sharon is leaving the club, that Jennifer is very lucky to have a man as wonderful as Jack so in love with her. Jennifer doesn't say anything to Sharon but is visibly affected by what Sharon has told her.
