Scene opens with Jack & Laura at the DiMera Mansion in the living room. Jennifer, John, Peter and Kristen are upstairs with Rachel. Jack is looking good wearing a nice black suit. He's in one of his "impatient" moods, is kind of speaking loudly, and is pacing the room.

Jack: "Look, Peter and Kristen have been up there for a LONG time. How long does it take for that woman to admit that she's their mother?"

Laura: "It took a lot for her to remember her past. We can't push her to discuss her identity if she's not ready..."

Jack (trying to sound patient and calm): "Laura, I understand she's very fragile. I don't want to upset her. But you do realize how high the stakes are for me. If she's lied to cover Peter's connection to Jude, then I can convince Jennifer to leave Peter."

Jennifer walks down the staircase with John. They enter the living room. Jennifer is wearing a bright lime-colored suit. Jack notices Jennifer and quickly approaches her.

Jack (looking a little nervous, takes a deep breath): "Jennifer, what did the... woman have to..say?"

Jennifer looks at John, as if to say 'You tell him'. John nods and says to Jack: "She is Rachel Blake -- Peter and Kristen's mother."

Camera shows Jack but there is no noticeable reaction by him, yet. (scene ends)

Next scene begins. Jack is noticeably happier. In fact, he looks and sounds extremely excited about this news. He is smiling a lot.

Jack: "That woman is Peter's mother, that's why she lied. That's why she covered up Peter's connection to Jude. You believe it now, don't you Jenn?"

Jennifer (is definitely looking very serious and certainly not as excited as Jack): "Right now, I don't know what to believe."

Jack (still excited and smiling): "Well, I want to talk to her. I'll convince her to tell the truth"

Jack attempts to walk out of room, but John, who is standing in front of him, tries to stop him. John is sounding very serious and worried about Rachel.

John: "Jack, it's not a good time right now. The woman needs a little time alone with Peter and Kristen."

Laura (standing at a corner of the room, chimes in): "John's right. She's just been reunited with her children."

Jack is listening to Laura and his expression on his face turns from excitement to one of disappointment as he realizes that everybody is not as excited as he is about this news. He bends his head down and shakes it, realizing that nobody wants to believe him yet again

Jack (with his hands lifted as if to say "everybody just lay off of me for a second"): "Alright, alright, alright! I'll wait, I'll wait."

John: "Thank you."

Abby runs into the room and says in her usual excited maner: "Mommy, I'm helping Brady make a fort. Wanna come see?"

Jennifer turns around to Abby and says in an excited manner: "Yes! I do wanna come see."

Jack is smiling at Abby

John (also sounding excited): "Can I come see too?"

Abby: "Yes!"

John and Jennifer both laugh and leave the room with Abby.

Jack waits until John and Jennifer leave and turns around to Laura to plead his case with her. He is now very excited yet again and is smiling.

Jack: "Laura, this is my chance. My chance to prove that I've been right about Peter all along. (Jack smiles)

Laura: "If Rachel lied to protect her son before, what makes you think that she is SUDDENLY going to tell the truth?"

Jack: "Oh, I'll convinvce her to tell the truth. Because once she realizes all the things that Peter's done, she's not going to protect him anymore. (Jack has a big smile now) I've got him, Laura. There's NO WAY he can weasel out of it this time. (scene ends showing Jack with the same big smile on his face, almost giggling)"

Next scene has Marlena walking down the stairs and entering the living room. Jack and Laura are sitting on the couch. They get up to speak to Marlena.

Laura to Marlena: "How's Rachel?"

Marlena: "She's resting.."

Jack (interrupts): "Marlena, when can I talk to this woman? I just need to ask her a few questions."

Marlena: "She can't take any pressure right now, Jack."

Jack (laughing and smiling yet again): "No, no, no, I'm not going to pressure her. (trying to sound calm, but you can tell he's really excited about speaking to Rachel) I'll just wait... until she's ready to answer me... and then (he turns his head to Laura and then looks back at Marlena, rubs his hands together and says) and then I'll find out what I need to know." (Jack looks excitedly at Laura and then at Marlena, but they're not as excited as him. In fact, they are not saying anything and there is a long pause. Jack is probably thinking "Hmm... why am I the only one here who's excited about this?" LOL! What a funny scene!)

Jack (realizing he's obviously not going to have much fun 'celebrating' this news with Laura and Marlena, points to the outside porch and says): "I'm just gonna go outside. Get some air.."

Jack leaves room. Laura looks very upset and watches him leave. Marlena watches him leave too.

Marlena (after Jack has left room): "He's certainly in a fine mood."

Laura (sounding very upset): "Yeah. He's convinced that... ah... Rachel lied about Peter. So.... he thinks he has a good chance of getting... Jennifer back."

Laura walks away to take a drink of water. She is very upset and Marlena walks towards her to give her friend support.

Marlena: "Sorry, Laura. I can see how much that hurts you."

Laura: "Well, I suppose it was, ah.. foolish... but I allowed myself to think that (short pause) Jack and I (short pause) could be together again."

Marlena smiling: "That isn't foolish. I do the same thing with John. And I can't shake those feelings as long as I'm living in this house."

Laura: "If you just ask him how he feels about you." Marlena says she can't and then she explains why to Laura. Scene ends.

Next scene is with Laura and Jennifer in the living room. They are talking about how Jennifer had to cancel her "honeymoon" trip with Peter after they found out about Rachel. She says the trip is cancelled indefinitely. Jack must have heard Jennifer's voice from outside and quickly walks into the room and clears his throat so as to get Jennifer's attention and gives a look to her as if to say "We need to talk -- ALONE." Jack is looking quite serious now, but quite impatient to talk to Jennifer. Laura excuses herself from the room.

Jennifer (has her arms folded, and looks like she doesn't want to hear anything from Jack right now): "Jack, I know what you're gonna say..."

Jack: "No, listen, Jenn, I don't wanna hurt you. But I knew there was a connection between Peter and that woman. I knew she was covering it up for a reason. And there was -- she's his mother."

Jennifer (with a very mad look on her face): "Peter and his mother have been separated for almost his whole life. I'm not going to stand here and watch you turn this whole wonderful reunion into something ugly!" (She turns around to leave room. Jack gently grabs her arm to stop her)

Jack: "Jenn, I'm only asking the questions that you should be asking yourself. Like why did that woman deny that she was Peter's mother? To protect him! (Jack begins to shout and points to the upstairs) Peter's probably up there working her right now trying to keep his delicate little web of lies intact..."

Jennifer interrupts Jack, and she looks disgusted: "NO!"

Jack (trying to sound calm again and looks like he's starting to get teary-eyed): "Jenn, listen. When you went on your honeymoon, I prayed that you would just come back and change your mind about Peter."

Jennifer (sounding calm): "That is not why we came back."

Jack: "I know! (pause) I know. But you did come back. (Jack pauses and looks like he's about to cry) You and Abby are safer now. I can keep an eye on both of you. (pause, tears are in his eyes) And I'm never going to let Peter hurt either of you."

Jennifer is staring at Jack, looking like she is affected by what he just said to her. Scene ends.

Next scene is with Jack & Jenn in living room, still alone.

Jack: "Alright, Jenn. Maybe Peter does love you. But it doesn't change WHO or WHAT he is. He's no less dangerous."

Jennifer is not looking at Jack, and has her head bent down trying to get a drink of water: "No. Peter would never let any harm come to me OR to Abby."

Jack (sounding frustrated): "Jenn! Peter's own mother thinks that he's bad. That's why she lied to protect him."

Jennifer (turns around to Jack. She looks disgusted and shouts): "Jack! You only WISH that were true. You can't PROVE it!"

Jack: "Yeah, I could. I could prove it if I could just... if could just talk to her."

Jennifer: "Just stop, Jack! If there are any secrets between Peter and his mother, I believe that he will tell me."

Jack (looks very worried about Jennifer's safety): "I pray that you're right, Jenn." Jack looks at Jennifer with his "I'm worried about you" look. Jennifer is staring back at him and doesn't say anything. She then turns around and leaves the room. Scene ends.

Next scene has Jennifer in Rachel's room with Peter. Jennifer has just walked in and is talking to Rachel. Jack is outside the bedroom door, eavesdropping on their conversation. Rachel apologizes for doing the "things that she did" in Aremid -- she doesn't say what they are, but we know that she tried to choke Jennifer in Aremid. Rachel says she was so confused when she saw Jennifer in her (Rachel's) wedding dress. Jennifer says she understands completely and that she knows Rachel wasn't intentionally trying to hurt her.

Rachel: "Jennifer is a very understanding woman, Peter." (this is Rachel's way of hinting to Peter to 'fess up' and admit his lies to Jennifer.)

Jack suddenly decides this is his opportunity to enter the room. He barges in to the room, very confidently and interrupts their quiet little conversation. Funny scene!

Jack: "Yeah, well, this is all really nice and cozy. But I think there's a few things we need to discuss. (Jack attempts to shut the door. Jennifer and Peter look at his in a disgusted manner, as if they're thinking that Jack has some nerve barging in like this.)

Jennifer: "Not NOW, Jack!"

Jack (not paying attention to Jenn's comment, continues to walk to where they are all standing and continues by smiling and saying): "Well, I think now's a perfect time. Because we know now that Rachel is Peter's mother giving her the perfect reason to lie for him and say (and Jack says this by imitating Rachel's voice -- it's quite funny to hear him imitating her voice) 'No, I never saw Peter with Jude.' (Jack raises his voice) Well, you finally admitted your identity so why don't you tell us the rest?"

Rachel (shakes her head): "I have nothing to say. But, perhaps Peter, you do."

Jennifer looks at Peter, and seems kind of worried. Peter looks stunned that his mother is trying to get him to admit the truth to Jennifer. That's the last scene. Of course we know Peter never tells Jennifer the truth so Jack must continue to look for evidence to prove his story about Peter.
