Episode Summary -- Christmas Eve 1995, Transcribed By Salem:

Jack, Jennifer and Peter are back in Salem on Christmas Eve, while much of the Horton family and Abigail are still in Aremid. Jack and Jen traveled to Salem to go undercover at the Blue Moon. Peter returned to keep them from uncovering his connection to Jude. All three are very anxious to return to Aremid for Christmas with the family.

Peter -- (on the phone) Okay, just stand by. We'll be over there as soon as we can get packed up. (hangs up) The pilot has the plane ready, but he says that if we don't leave soon, we won't be able to land in Aremid.

Jennifer -- Okay, I'll get everything together. It won't take long. Do you think that we will have time to stop by Grandma's?

Peter -- Jen, I doubt it, we've got to get going.

Jennifer -- I just wanted to kiss her goodbye before we left.

Jack -- What time does she leave for Guatemala?

Jennifer -- A couple hours. I'll be right back down. (she goes upstairs)

Jack -- (to Peter) Well, I left all my clothes at the Aremid pub, so I don't have any packing to do.

Peter -- Jack, you are not flying on my plane.

Jack -- Well, how else am I supposed to get to Aremid for Christmas?

Peter -- Well that's your problem not mine.

Some time has passed and Jack is on the phone.

Jack -- Yeah? Well thanks anyways.

Peter enters.

Peter -- Did Jen bring down any other bags?

Jack -- Listen Peter, I need a ride.

Peter -- Not on my plane Jack.

Jack -- I can't miss Christmas with my daughter.

Peter -- You didn't care about spending Christmas with your daughter when you walked out on Jennifer and left her alone to raise Abby.

Jennifer -- (comes down the stairs) Are you and Jack arguing again?

Jack -- I only have one way to get to Aremid and that's on Peter's big cushy plane.

Peter -- Forget it, Jack.

Jennifer -- Peter, it's Christmas.

Peter -- Jen, now I would do anything for you in the world. You know that, but not this. He has made our lives miserable and I'm not having him ruin Christmas or anymore of our honeymoon. (to Jack) Now I've tried to be civil to you but you have knocked me ever chance you got and I don't owe you any favours and I'm not offering any.

Jennifer -- Mom and Mike are coming home in a couple of Days to work. I could send Abby with them.

Jack -- No. I'm not going to miss Christmas with my daughter. I'll find a way there myself.

Peter -- Yeah, well we won't wait up for you. Come on let's go.

Jennifer -- (as she walks out the door) Merry Christmas, Jack.

The phone rings.

Jack -- Hello.

Mrs. Horton -- Jack, is that you?

Jack -- (big smile) Mrs. Horton, Merry Christmas.

Mrs. H -- Same to you dear. May I speak to Jennifer?

Jack -- She and Peter just left. They wanted to try to get to the airport closes due to the snowstorm. I'm sure she'll call you from the plane.

Mrs. H -- Oh I'm sorry I missed her. Well, I suppose that you are spending Christmas in Salem.

Jack -- Well, not if I can help it. Uh I want to spend Christmas with Abigail. But you are going to Guatemala. Do you need a ride to the airport?

Mrs. H -- Well, I'm leaving soon, but I can always call a taxi.

Jack -- Don't be ridiculous. I can drive you.

Mrs. H -- Well, if you don't mind, that would be lovely. There's something I would like to discuss with you.

Mrs. Horton is all smiles. She has a plan.

The next time we see Jack he is driving in a terrible snowstorm. I guess we are to assume that Mrs. Horton let him use her car. The snow is heavy and Jack presses his face close to the windshield to see. Suddenly, he swerves of the road!

Meanwhile, Jennifer and Peter have arrived in Aremid. They are standing outside the Blake house when Kristen shows up. She talks to Jennifer about problems with John as Peter enters.

Once inside, Peter gives Abby a hug and kiss. Then Jennifer enters.

Jennifer -- Hello.

Laura and Mike -- Hello. Welcome Back.

Abby -- (runs to Jen) Mommy!

Jennifer -- Hi! Come here. It is so good to see you. Look. Wow. All the decorations. It's very glamourous. Did you help decorate the tree?

Abby -- Yes and Grandma and I built a snowlady.

Laura -- Darling, Abby. Grandma's got to go back to the pub.

Abby -- No!

Mike -- Jen, it's Christmas.

Jennifer -- Maybe Grandma can stay a while longer.

Laura -- Thank you.

Abby -- Where's daddy?

Jennifer -- He's still back in Salem.

Jack enters with a box.

Jack -- Hey, guess who's here?

Abby -- Daddy! (she runs from Jen into Jack's arms)

Jack -- Hello sweetheart! How are you? Did you have a nice little flight in the plane?

Peter is livid upon seeing that Jack has made the trip.

There is a silence in the room, with the exception being Abby, who is mumbling to her daddy.

Jennifer -- Peter, if you don't want him here . . .

Peter -- Take your jacket off Jack. You are making Abby all wet.

Laura takes Abby into the living room.

Jack -- Thanks.

Peter -- As soon as Abby goes to bed, you leave.

Jack -- Deal.

Jennifer -- Peter the tree is gorgeous. I just wish that . . .

Peter -- What do you wish?

Jack -- You wish you could put the Horton family ornaments on the tree.

Jennifer -- (surprised) Yeah.

Jack -- You can. Mrs. Horton called right after you left and I stopped by and picked them up.

Jennifer -- Come on. Let's go put them on.

Jack -- Hey, hey. Merry Christmas.

Maggie and Mickey -- Merry Christmas Jack.

Jack -- Okay, which ones first?

Jennifer -- Let's hang Grandma and Grandpa's first.

Jack -- Okay, Tom and Alice.

Jennifer -- Abby, you want to help me hang them?

They hang the ornaments and the Christmas music begins.

Jennifer -- Thank you, Jack.

Peter looks on in disappointment.

The Horton clan begin to sing carols. Jack, Jen and Abby are seated on the couch together as Peter sits on armrest by Jennifer.
