Summary:  When did Belanna and Tom realize they were meant to be?   My
story tells you when.

      Tom Paris stared at the caskets being shot into space at regular
intervels.  All of them had names, lives, families, and none of them had
deserved to die.  They should of been alive but they weren't.  Stadi the
betazoid that he had flirted with in the shuttle.   Cavit who had once
shunned Tom but had given his life to save his Captain.  All had
deserved to live.  And he, Tom Paris, had lived when he should of died.
Tom looked around the room for the first time.  He say two crews united
to get home.  Although at that time they really weren't united at all.
Then he saw her the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.  Her temper
was obvious.  The scowl on her face told him that.  But with a certinity
he never known he could posses he knew they  were each others angel.
Sent from the heavons to save each other.

Belanna knew that she didn't want to be here in the Mess Hall at all.
But she owed it to the people who had been her compadres.  She watched
as Captain Janeway read a list of about a hundred names of people who
didn't live long enough to see the uniting of the two crews.  People who
had been Maquis and Starfleet.  They would be missed.  Belanna knew
that.  Looking around the room she saw people mourning for people who
had been friends and family.  Then she saw him Tom Paris,  the traitor
all the Maqui remebered well.  But as she looked at him for the first
time she saw somthing different then a traitor.  She saw an angel.  A
real life angel.

In the end they managed to save each other in a way no one would ever
dream possible.
