Back to my roommate now... his name's James, and he's from New York, pretty near where I currently work. He and I have a lot in common relating to everything from musical tastes to how we act in certain situations to the fact that we both got a 1350 on our SATs. No quibbles, problems, or any arguments have occurred. James is a little more outgoing than I am (I end to be shy meeting new people), but he's already caught that a bit and has already been helpful in introducing me to some people, just adding to the number of people I've met (he's hanging around that girls floor a bit too heh). He's a pre-med student and he's quite a nice guy all around.
He and I have been getting settled into the room, and we have, with a couple of minor issues. He forgot to rent the cooler, which isn't a problem, but just means we gotta wait. We couldn't loft our beds due to a problem and now we're stuck waiting for maintenance to come in and do it. And finally, my computer is rejecting the ethernet card I got, meaning I'm dialing into my ISP once or twice a day to check E-mail, quickly do what I need to, and get off. It's a bitch, but at least it's a temporary fix.
I think I'm going to hve a great time with this. I haven't been this excited in a long time. And the best part is I have three days which don't have any classes for over half the day. So I get to continue working a bit and not touch the money I had saved for a rainy day (or a lazy day, depending). I'm looking forward to what lies ahead and hope that the first two days are an indication to the days to come.
