Jack and Jennifer were a romantic couple. Jack was a very complex character. That would all be lost. Lest we forget how Jack was written in 91 after Langan came on -- and even up until 93? At least then the show was still remotely tolerable. Today it is crude.... Nope... I am happier with Matthew not on that show as long as they have Langan

I was about to change the channel when something caught my eye. .Maybe it was the relentless heat, maybe it was the insurmountable boredom I faced watching both my younger siblings, or maybe, just maybe it was the jaded character of Jack Deveraux and his little blonde cohort "Miss Horton" that kept me glued to this so p opera, my new addiction, for the rest of the hour and countless hours after that. I loved these characters, snatched up each and every soap opera digest to read about them, missed a goofy golf outing while on vacation to watch them marry, and even a day of school to watch Abby come into this world. I laughed and at every antic J ck would conjure up and cried when Jennifer would accept him for who he was. Then came the dark day when I picked up the soap opera digest announcing that the Days writers were not re-signing Ashford in order to take the character of Jack in a new direction. NEW DIRECTION! What was wrong with him? He wasn't broke, why fix im? I predicted that from that day forward the only direction that Jack would go was down! I WAS RIGHT. Then...we lose Melissa Reeves, who apparantly cannot speak for herself nowadays, considering the only Reeves that gives press releases is Mr. Scott (I'm sorry, what boring soap is he on?). I guess the point I'm trying to stress is that Bo and Hope are great, Marlena and John are fine, and Carrie and Mike or Austin are super, but Jack and Jennifer were and forever will be the best couple Days ever had! And only Melissa Brennan Reeves a d Matthew Ashford will do! Days, I'm pleading with you, bring these two back, you've lost a lot of young fans, according to my close friends and my new friends who are joining together in this and various other webpages!! You want to be #1 again (a feat eemed impossible because of Y&R), bring these two back, whatever it takes, fill their mouths with the same silly, witty dialogue we loved, and redeem their characters (for God's sake, you need to!) and see how high the Nielsen can rise! I feel I am speaking for all DAYS fans out there by demanding a better quality show, and in this case quality = Matt & Missy!!!
