The Dimensions for Dummies.

THE BASICS
There are three Dimensions. The Human Dimension, the Toon/Human Dimension and the Toon Dimension. Each dimension is made up of an ever increasing number of universes.
A dimension is just a dividing line for the laws. A universe is a sort of a box-world in which 99.9% of the inhabitants stay for their whole lives in, unaware of other universes or dimensions.
The Human Dimension is the most powerful of the dimensions. It’s native population is made up entirely of humans and non-talking or clothes wearing animals. This dimension has very strict laws of gravity and such, and it’s inhabitants are very vulnerable. A very strange aspect of this dimension is it’s Real Life Universe. The brains of the humans here are the ones who make new universes (in any dimension) in their imagination. More on this later. Other notable universes for me here are the Red Dwarf-verse, The Bill-verse and the 3rd Rock-verse.
The Toon/Human Dimension is the smallest dimension. It’s inhabitants obviously consist of humans and cartoons. The humans here are tougher than the Human Dimension humans. The cartoons are very hard to kill in most circumstances, except when a direct hit is scored by a gun or car sometimes. Otherwise they will just squish and pop back up slightly concussed. Notable universes here are the Bonkers-verse, the Watership Down-verse and the Anaheim-verse (not to be confused with the Puck-verse, which is in the Toon Dimension).
The Toon Dimension. Humans are unheard of in most places, and though there are toons that look like humans, they’re not the real thing. Cartoons are tough, choosing only to die when it will make a plot twist. Notable universes here are the Mixi-Darkwing-verse, the Nega-Darkwing-verse,the Puck-verse and the Alladin-verse.
CREATING UNIVERSES
A universe is created everytime a show is made, a book is written, or when a fan fiction about one of the two above is written or thought of as long as something is different (e.g.-Nosedive has a sister, Bigwig becomes chief rabbit instead of Hazel, Dick is older than Tommy). This is how a character can gain multiple partners, family or whatever. A new universe is created, with all the things of the first, with a little bit more or less. Sort of like a “spin-off”.
Creating a universe doesn’t take much energy, and people unconsciously do it often by imagining possibilities.
THE LAWS
Using random portals (dangerous, do not try it at home kids, do it at school) or ones made with electronic equipment, it is possible to go to a different dimension and universe. When you change, you can think up a “look” suitable for that place (i.e., in a Darkwing-verse, a duck/human would be appropriate). This “look” is then kept for the entire stay in that dimension. To change looks you have to go to another dimension. If you do not think going through the portal, you will assume your natural form.
In some special cases, changing dimensions gives the person morphing skills for up to an hour, and one special gift. In half-way cases the special gift is only given. Most of these people were already interested in dimension changing (how else would they find out they had the powers) and become what are known as Dimensional Travelers.

How do I know all this? My name is Thlayli-rah. I’m a Dimension Traveler.
