Dennis's shooting incident becomes the focus again when the trial of his supposed shooter - Andy Tally, his sister
Beth's husband, is under way. His patient, Linda Fortin also goes into labour, with a child who will most probably
not make it. Another young mother must struggle with the thought that her baby son (6 months) is brain dead and
his twin sister is hanging on by a thread and the desparate search for a donor by Kate Austin ensues. Philip also
becomes feed for the hosital's gossip circle when a mysterious young woman is seen hanging around him - raising eyebrows - including those of Aaron, Billy, Diane and the rest of the hospital. Jack also decides to give up gambling for
