Family:She is the child of Alex, Teddy, Georgie and Frankie's father and his mistress. She later marries a man whom she works with, Wes.
Facts:Charley always struggled to fit in with the Reed sisters once she made contact with them and she longed to feel like part of the family. Throughout the show, she was sometimes reminded that she wasn't Bea's daughter. At the end of the series, Bea was teaching her to garden. She is a doctor and ran a clinic in central Chicago for people who could not afford other medical care. The clinic was co-run by Wes, and Bea was the receptionist for several years.
