George has been depressed about failing to raise Trevor the way she planned too, but lately she has been up and about. Still, her sisters are worried about her and decide to drop by and take her out to dinner. However, when they get there, a blizzard becomes so serious that they are all forced to spend the night. Georgie, meanwhile, has been contemplating suicide and has already written letters to her family and her sisters. When Alex and Frankie decide to look for a flashlight in Georgie's car, they come across letters addressed to them but opt not to open them. Later, though, when the bottle of sleeping pills that Alex gave Georgie which was full three days ago is suddenly empty, the sisters become more worried and finally open their letters, realizing that Georgie is, indeed, planning her own death. Throughout the night they try to talk to her and prevent her from taking her life. Finally, when morning comes and her sisters are all asleep, Georgie heads downstairs and takes out the sleeping pills. Her younger self continues to try to talk her out of suicide, but Georgie doesn't want to listen. Suddenly, though, the phone rings. It's Evan, telling her that he did wonderfully in the science fair and telling her that he will need help to improve his project for the big fair in Washington DC in July. When Georgie hangs up the phone, her sisters come in and see the pills on the table. She throws them down the sink, though, and tells her sisters that she needs help.
In this episode, we also learn that while she was living in California, Teddy once contemplated suicide, but stopped because a movie came on that she wanted to watch, and another and another, until she was looking for something that would prevent her from taking her life.
