Lefty Page

I, along with about 10% of the population, am left-handed. Being a lefty has it's advantages and disadvantages. It's great to be a lefty, because you automatically belong to an unofficial "Lefty Club." It makes us unique and we feel a kind of bond with other lefties. Lefties tend to be well-adjusted, because we have plenty of practice adjusting to the right-handed world that we live in. Some things we have to put up with are ink smudges on our hands when we write, those annoying rings on notebooks, and mugs. (When we pick up a mug with our left hand, the picture faces away from us.) Most righties aren't aware of the things we have to put up with, because we seldom complain. This is because we have a lot of advantages which, in my opinion, outweigh the disadvantages. For example, in baseball, we are closer to first base when we bat. And, many people believe that lefties are more creative. Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Beethoven, Ben Franklin, Isaac Newton, Einstein, and Paul McCartney (pictured above) are/were all left-handed. Of course, many of them were also a bit psycho, but I won't go into that!
