Nicholas Brendon turned to acting after his dreams of playing professional baseball were crushed when he suffered an arm injury during his college years that ended his athletic career. His television debut followed shortly after when he landed a part in a Clearasil commercial.
Sparse roles, however, forced Nicholas to move behind the scenes and begin working as a television production assistant on "Dave's World" while holding down a job as a waiter at the Kate Mantilini restaurant in Los Angeles. After auditioning for and gaining a role as a guest star on the series, Brendon was able to return to pursuing his dream of becoming a professional actor. An offer to audition for the role of Xander in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" ensued soon after.
Nicholas' television credits include a recurring role on the daytime soap opera "The Young and the Restless" as well as a starring role in the pilot, "Secret Lives." In film, Brendon played an evil corn follower in "Children of the Corn III - Urban Harvest." Theatre credits include "The Further Adventures of Tom Sawyer," "My Own Private Hollywood," and "Out of Gas on Lovers' Leap."
A Los Angeles native, Nicholas enjoys basketball, camping, and spending time with friends and family. He currently lives with his twin brother, Kelly, in LA.
