Seth Green began his acting career at the age of six when he was cast in a commercial promoting a John Denver record. Six years later, Green found himself playing a leading role as a young Woody Allen in Radio Days. Since then, Green has participated in a number of films and television productions including Austin Powers, Can’t Hardly Wait, and The X-Files.
Green claims that it was his soft spot for horror that first attracted him to Buffy. He credits the imagery, suspense, and brilliant writing with the show’s success.
Similar to his character Oz, Seth can play the guitar. “I can strum a guitar and I know where the notes would be on the neck of the guitar, but putting it all together and actually having the dexterity to make a cohesive and favorable sound is not my forte,” Green explains. For Buffy, Seth studies the music he plays with someone who actually knows how to play the guitar.
Seth professes having a small part in the Buffy movie that eventually got cut from the final release; Joss does not believe him.
Green’s film credits include but are not limited to Enemy of the State, To Gillian on her 37th Birthday, and My Stepmother is an Alien. His television credits include Buffy the Vampire Slayer and guest shots on Mad About You and Sea Quest DSV.
Upcoming projects include feature films Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999), Idle Hands (1999), and Stonebrook (1999).
Green spends his free time at concerts, playing pool, and going to the movies.
