Chapter 6 Robin stood in the elevator next to Jason. “So what took you so long?” “Uh, Emily wanted to talk. So we talked.” Robin lied. “So you were talking?” But Emily didn't seem to be in a talkative mood when Carly and I were there. “Yes, Jason. Why are you pushing this?” Robin pushed the button for the first floor. Jason don't keep asking me about this. “No reason.” Something was fishy. It wasn't like he thought Robin was lying but she was leaving something out. “Did Carly say something to you?” “When doesn't she?” Robin saw this as her opening. “Jason, we need to talk.” Jason tried not to groan. Whenever Robin started a conversation with “We need to talk”, it meant she lectures and I listen. “Can this wait until we get back to the penthouse?” Jason wasn't in the mood. “No, it can't. I have a class soon. I just want to say that you shouldn't be seeing AJ's son…” “Carly's son.” Jason corrected. “Whatever. All I'm saying is that AJ's not going to like you seeing Michael.” “How many times do I have to tell you that Carly and I are friends? I am Michael's uncle and as long as it's all right with Carly, I'll see Michael whenever I want.” “Jason,” Robin began in that whiny voice. “I don't want you getting hurt again. Remember how it was when Carly moved Michael out to Spoon Island and you weren't allowed to see him?” Jason hated being reminded of it. For a week, Jason had wandered around the penthouse during the day and spent every night in Michael's room, missing him. And Carly. “I remember.” “Now what if Carly lets you get attached to Michael again? And for some stupid Carly-like reason gets mad at you and decides you can't see him any more, what then?” “That will never happen. You don't know Carly the way that I do.” Jason started getting angry. “And since you never will, I want you to stay out of our friendship, okay?” Robin stubbornly stayed quiet as the elevator reached its destination and the doors opened. Robin was stepping out when Jason reached out and grabbed her arm. “I said stay out. Do you understand?” He said, dead serious. Jason's eyes bored into her. “Y-yes. I understand.” Robin couldn't believe that Jason was talking to her like that. This is all Carly's fault. Damn that bitch, she's going to pay! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ WYNDEMERE Carly carried Michael into the family room and saw Bobbie sitting on the couch reading a newspaper and Nikolas was crouched over a couple of papers. “Oh, hi, honey. I heard you were into see Emily today. How'd it go?” Bobbie asked. “It was all right. Jason dropped in.” Carly put Michael down. “Go say hi to Grandma.” “Hi sweetheart. Oh, Jason dropped in, hmm?” Bobbie pulled Michael onto the couch next to her. Bobbie knew how Carly felt about Jason despite the fact that he was still with Robin. “Yeah. It was no big deal, Bobbie.” “I didn't say it was.” “Well anyway, after we saw Auntie Em, and promised Uncle Jason we'd visit next week,” Carly sat on the other side of Michael. “We went to the park and Michael played on the swings and went down the slides. Didn't you, baby boy?” Michael smiled and nodded. Bobbie asked cautiously. “You're taking Michael to see Jason?” “Yes. Is there a problem? Until I told you that AJ was Mikey's dad, you were perfectly happy that Jason was his father and you thought he was safe. Don't tell me since you married Step Vlad, you've gotten all hypocritical on me?” Bobbie sighed with frustration. “I wish when you hang out with Luke you wouldn't pick up his more annoying habits.” “Yeah but you love me all the more for it right?” Carly smiled and dismissed the Jason conversation by getting up and going over to where Nikolas sat, still going through his papers. “I hope we didn't bother you, Nicky.” “Don't call me Nicky.” Nik muttered without looking up. “So sorry, Nikolas.” Carly rolled her eyes. “Whatcha working on?” “Just some Cassadine business.” “Wouldn't interest me.” Carly said cheerfully. “But this would interest you. Emily told me to tell you thanks.” Carly tried to read his reaction. Nik looked up from his papers with a quick half-smile. “She did?” “Yup.” “Thanks for the message.” “Anytime.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ GH Emily was lying back in bed about to take a nap when Monica came in. “Hi, Mom.” “Hi.” Monica didn't know how to talk to Emily anymore. She'd scared the life out of her when she found her sitting next a pool of blood. She was afraid of losing her daughter. “I'm heading out now.” “Okay.” “And tomorrow before you check out…” “I'm checking out early?” “Yes and before you do you have an appointment with Gail Baldwin.” “What?”
