Chapter 20 Robin and AJ were in the kitchen of the Quartermaine Mansion together. AJ was washing the dishes after Robin made breakfast for the family. The two of them had fun splashing each other with the dishwater. After they finished Robin asked AJ about the strike. AJ: Just after you were shot, a strike of the dockworkers was called. All the other unions supported them. Robin: And the staff here? AJ: They are supporting the union. They have all formed a picket line outside the mansion. Robin: What are the unions striking for? AJ: Jason wants some changes in the project. Robin: What kind of changes? AJ: He wants changes that will allow him to continue to work. Ned wants to make a deal with Jason. Robin: Jason might be under pressure to. His docks are the source of his power. AJ: Those demands I can deal with. But there is one demand that I can't meet. Robin: What demand? AJ: Jason wants me to give up all rights to Michael. Say that I am not his father. Robin: You are the father. AJ: That’s right. I will not bargain my son away just to end a strike. Robin: And the family is willing to agree with this. AJ: Only Ned knows of the demand. He hasn't told anyone about it. Robin: Then go to Edward. The family will support you. AJ: I don't want to do that. I would rather end this on my own. Robin: Would you mind if I help you. AJ: What could you do for me? Robin tells AJ what she could do for him.
