Chapter 1 Labor Day 1998 Robin Scorpio stood up after attending a Labor Day concert at Port Charles High School. One of the bands performing there was one that she had discovered. She came up to the band and give the lead singer a hug. Robin: Great job tonight Sly. I knew that the crowd would love you. Sly: Thanks Robin. We couldn't have been able to do it without you. Robin: I didn't do anything. Remember come to the Quartermaine gatehouse at 11 AM tomorrow and we will start recording your first gold record. Sly smiled at Robin. Sly: Gold record, you're thinking big. Robin: That is the only way in this business. See you tomorrow Sly. Robin tells the band goodbye as she leaves the school. As she takes a walk she remembers the events of the last 2 weeks. It began when Brenda told her that she was pregnant. But she told Robin that Sonny not Jax is the father. And she told Robin that she wanted to join him. Jason and Robin arranged for Brenda to join Sonny. Before leaving Port Charles Brenda had sold L&B to Robin and Lois. Robin also knew that her life was at a crosspoint. She would be starting school at PCU this week and Jason had just told her that Carly's release has been arranged and that she will be released tonight or tomorrow. Robin noticed that she was in the park and sat on a bench. She remembered her parent bringing her here when she was young. She wondered what would happen when Carly comes back. Would Carly use Michael to keep her away from Jason? She imagined Carly and Jason taking Michel to the park like Robert and Anna did. Robin was so deep in thought that she never noticed the man in black watching her. He stood in the darkness watching her deep in thought. After a few minutes Robin decided that it was time to return to the penthouse. She got up and headed back. The man followed her. He caught up to Robin and grabbed her by behind. He dragged her toward the bushes. Afterwards he threw her to the ground. Robin looked at him and decided to show no fear. She faced him and showed a look of no fear. She hoped that he wouldn't discover that it was an act. The man who was in a ski masked took a long look at her. After a few minutes of silence, which seemed like hours to Robin, he spoke to her. Man: Your Robin Scorpio, aren't you? Robin was surprised when he said that he knew that she was. She decided that it might help her if he said who she was. Robin: Yes I am Robin Scorpio. If you know who I am then you know why this is a bad idea. Let me go Please. Man: NO! (The man takes another closer look at Robin's body.) You have no cuts. That's good. That means that I am in no danger from you. But I can't do what I wanted to do so I guess I have to do this. Robin watches the man reach into his belt. She is shocked when he pulls out a gun. He aims it at her. Robin: No! Please don't do this. Robin looks at the man and knows that she has no chance. She decides to close her eyes. The darkness and silence is soon replaced by a large bang followed by Robin feeling some pain. After a couple of seconds she takes her hand from her side and slowly runs her hand up her body toward where the pain is coming from. When she reaches that point she feels something liquid and sticky on her body. Just them Robin passes out from the pain she is feeling.
